Here Valerie prevents Tohru from destroying the antidote by threatening to inject herself with Jackie's infected blood.

When Tohru realizes that the ransom isn't full, he's about to destroy the antidote like in the canon episode, but Valerie prevents it by threatening to inject herself with Jackie's infected blood. Tohru then spends the ensuing fight by holding Valerie in a bear hug, but after Jackie's turned completely to stone, Valerie manages to force Tohru to hand over the antidote, which is then used to return Jackie back to normal in place of the Horse Talisman. The latter's power is discovered afterwards when Valerie accidentally uses it to cure her cold instead of Tohru.

The plot is the same as in canon for the most part, though there are some distinct differences.
The issue with Jackie's infection to the petrifying venom is settled a bit differently. When Valerie joins Jade to trade the Talismans to the Dark Hand in exchange for the antidote, it goes like in canon until Tohru is about to drop the antidote. Knowing that the Dark Hand's mysterious client wants her alive, Valerie takes some blood from Jackie in a syringe and threatens to inject it into her bloodstream and possibly turn herself to stone as well. That prevents Tohru from destroying the antidote, but the fight happens anyway and Jackie turns completely to stone. Valerie manages to use the syringe to threaten Tohru into giving her the antidote and uses it to return Jackie back to normal. The Horse Talisman's power is discovered afterwards when Valerie accidentally uses it to cure her cold.
