As he's leaving, his bag tears, and he loses all the powder. When Gargamel finds the note, he concocts a formula to destroy the Smurfs, then labels it "Cure for All Illnesses" and leaves it by the bottle of stinkweed powder. Brainy fills his bag with it and slips into his fellow Smurfs' soup. It ends up turning them yellow and making them act like birds.
