Disallows character reactions or anything fantastical. Needs to explain the unrealistic outcome audiences expected.

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome:
** When Amity and Alador have the chance to talk, Alador shows that he's going to change his ways, and he goes to hug Amity. But Amity stops him and settles on just a handshake. There are still a ton of unresolved issues between the two; Alador promising to work on his behavior isn't going to just erase the harm his actions have caused, nor can Amity just take his word for it.
** Luz may have made peace with her father's death long ago, but that doesn't mean all of the emotions it can stir up are gone. The pain of loss and the mourning for someone you love may never truly go away. Being unable to perform a tradition that helps with coming to terms with that loss certainly wasn't going to help.
** If you modify a recipe, there's no guarantee it'll work as intended. More likely, incorrect ingredients and [[OvenLogic increased temperature]] will ruin the recipe outright.
** Edric is shown to have low self esteem due to being mocked and put down by his sisters all series. He's so desperate to prove himself that he messes up Eda's TruthSerum.
** In a more positive example, the failed truth potion is still extremely valuable as a make-you-into-a-super-monster potion. Just because something doesn't work as intended doesn't mean it can't be useful in its own right.

* CallingTheOldManOut: Amity finally stands up to her father in this episode. Unlike Odalia, Alador is impressed and complements his daughter for doing so, extending an olive branch by saying he thinks purple hair suits her more than green.

* KeepTheReward: Once Alador subdues Wrath, he’s immediately awarded the belt, but he’s bluntly not interested because he already has one and only came to drag Amity home after missing the coven tryouts. Between being inconvenienced and the amount of trouble Amity was going to be in, a second belt isn’t even worth that to him.

* NotTheFallThatKillsYou: Defied. Luz has developed a new glyph combo that arrests a target’s fall by causing it to levitate for a few moments just before they would have hit the ground from a fall, effectively making a magic parachute.
