* ButForMeItWasTuesday: Vitani only remembers Kion from "Lions In The Outlands", even though she didn't recognize him at first. On the other hand, she doesn't remember the rest of Kion friends from their last encounter, thinking they were Outlanders, whom they thought were enemies.

* BadLiar: When Kion tries to claim his relationship with Rani is just friendly, Kiara inmediatly believes that the reltationship is something much more than just friendly.

* ShipSinking: Every ship that involved Kion is effectively sunk with him marrying Rani. The ones with Jasiri and Fuli especially, with both not only supporting Kion, but also having shown interest in other boys. This pretty much says that they never saw him as anything more than just a friend.

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome: Despite the BoringReturnJourney, TravellingAtTheSpeedOfPlot is subverted and in the time it took to send message of a crisis from the Pridelands to the Tree of Life and get back, the crisis has already been resolved.

* TheCavalryArrivesLate: The Lion Guard, joined by the hyenas, vultures and Azaad, were all ready to go to the Pridelands to take on Zira...only to find out Zira is no more.

* JustFriends: How Kion tries to insist his relationship with Rani when he reveals it to Kiara. She doesn't believe it for a second.

* ShaggyDogStory: The previous episode had the Lion Guard and their allies being warned about Zira and the Outsiders invading the Pride Lands. This episode opens with them rushing home, only to find out that the conflict has already been resolved without them.

* TookALevelInKindness: The vultures have firmly established their HeelFaceTurn, declaring their loyalty to Jasiri and generally being friendlier.

* DistantFinale: This episode is essentially an epilogue to the second film, showing what had happened not long after Zira was defeated.

* AscendedExtra: Vitani got very little screentime in ''The Lion King II'', but the episode that serves as a direct follow-up to that movie focuses more on her than on Kiara and Kovu.

* ForgottenFallenFriend: While Kovu explains what happened to Zira, he, Vitani and no-one else mentions that Nuka, TheUnFavourite son of Zira, got himself killed desperately trying to kill Simba.

* MythologyGag: Madoa mentions that Jasiri told all the hyenas to stay hidden while she was gone, explaining why no hyena appear at all in ''Lion King 2''.

* OutOfFocus: Apparently after everyone explains why Kovu reformed and will eventually become King of the Pride Lands, he becomes irrelevant for the rest of the episode, shifting focus to Vitani.

* ShaggyDogStory: The Lion Guard plus three allies worked so hard to get home as fast as they could, only to find the threat's already been neutralized.

* WorfHadTheFlu: The competition for The Strongest happened on a ''very'' hot day, which is not ideal for Beshte, and Ma Tembo (whom was on top of the rock he was trying to push) tells him it's not worth it.

* FishOutOfTemporalWater: Kion has been away from the Pride Lands too long that much has changed in the Pridelands. Kion is completely behind on events, received the news about Zira's impeding attack moments too late, and is in complete shock that the Outsiders have rejoined Pride Rock.
