* ArmourPiercingQuestion: Gavin is initially hesitant to go along with Julie's plans of complete and combined non-compliance against Brittas, believing that Brittas is only trying to be helpful. Then Julie poses a question by asking "One time, Gavin. You tell me one time when Brittas has helped someone and his helping has actually helped." Gavin is unable to formulate a response to the question and decides to join in with Julie's scheme.

-->'''Julie''': He's got a county psychologist in his office.
-->'''Tim''': Oh, that's a step in the right direction, isn't it? Professional help. I always thought it was what he needed.
-->'''Gavin''': I agree. It's sad, but I think it's for the best.
-->'''Julie''': It's not for the best, Gavin. It's for you.

* NameOne: When Julie puts forward the idea of total non-corporation to Tim and Gavin, Gavin initially resists, believing that it is an extreme action for someone who was only trying to help. Then Julie asks if Gavin can think of one time that Brittas' efforts have actually helped someone, which convinces Gavin to go along with Julie's plan.

Added DiffLines:

* TakeThat: When Gavin points out that Brittas is only trying to help, Tim counters that [[UsefulNotes/JohnMajor Mr. Major]] was only trying to help as well.

Had a rewatch, and it turns out that Brittas never actually quotes Happy Talk after all. I partially blame it on that Sharing the Dream book, which did write out the conversation like that.

** Brittas quotes "Happy Talk" from ''Theatre/SouthPacific''.

* WaxingLyrical: This episode gives us this dialogue between the psychiatrist Alan Matthews (who had been analysing the staff and had concluded that Brittas was the cause of their stress) and Brittas:
-->'''Mr. Matthews''': Dreams can be dangerous. I sometimes think we can be better off without them.
-->'''Mr. Brittas''': But you've got to have a Dream. If you don't have a Dream, how you gonna make a dream come true?
