Supposedly Amy's ill and Bernadette has to work late tonight. At Penny's suggestion, Sheldon reinstates Anything Can Happen Thursday. He and Leonard and Penny learn that Bernadette and Amy lied about being unavailable to have drinks together. By coincidence, Leonard, Penny and Sheldon end up discover Amy and Bernadette drinking wine at a bar. Of course Sheldon goes in to confront them Amy and Bernadette.
It turns out that Amy and Bernadette were tired of hearing Sheldon worry about what should be his new field of study and they were also tired of hearing Penny complain about the movie she's working on. Same goes for Leonard, actually, to Penny's chagrin.
Penny orders Sheldon to leave with her to an Asian fusionrestaurant restaurant, and then later they wind up at a fortune teller. psychic. Sheldon makes it abundantly clear to the psychic (Creator/KimberlyHerbertGregory) that he thinks she's a fraud. The psychic nevertheless figures out that Sheldon is having romantic trouble with a dark-haired woman, and that that woman is the key to Sheldon's personal well-being and professional success.
