* ArcWords: When Pastor Tim comes by the travel agency to book his trip to Kenya ([[{{Foreshadowing}} which will become important in later episodes]]), he brings up Paige, and says she needs to be treated more like an adult than a child. This is basically the argument that's been going on all season between Elizabeth and Philip, although they both differ in how they think treating Paige as an adult means. It also becomes a case of BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor in Paige's case, as she never imagined the truth about her parents would be like this, which forces her to become more of an adult.

* ActorAllusion: When Paige finds out her parents are from the Soviet Union, she asks why they don't have accents. This is apparently an allusion to Creator/MatthewRhys, who is from Wales and has a heavy Wales accent, but speaks with an American accent on the show.

Paige drops by the travel agency, and she helps her parents there. However, while it seems like things are going well between her and her parents, when Elizabeth and Philip get home from getting intelligence (more on that below), Paige confronts them, asking them why they aren't like anyone else, and asks what they do. After hesitating, Elizabeth and Philip admit they're from the Soviet Union, Paige is stunned by this, especially when Elizabeth and Philip impress on her that she can't tell anyone. When Stan comes over for dinner the following evening, she looks at him as if she's going to tell, but decides against it.

When Philip visits Kimmy, he gets a tape that reveals the CIA are planning to host the mujahadeen. Elizabeth goes to a hotel instead of Philip for an operation involving the mujahadeen (where they were coming back from when Paige confronted him). She pretends to be someone who is has a stain on the bed, and the hotel manager promises to make it up to her.

Zinaida and Stan go to the movies, but Zinaida asks to use the bathroom in the middle of the movie. She leaves a message inside the bathroom, about [[Recap/TheAmericansS3E9DoMailRobotsDreamOfElectricSheep the attack on her]], and Tatiana tells Arkady about the message.

Elsewhere, Henry and Stan end up bonding together.
