During lunch one day, Kusuri accidentally gives Nano a drug that causes her to shrink down to a few centimeters tall. Kusuri can't give Nano the neutralizer, as doing so would strain her body too much and kill her, but the drug should wear off by the next day. Meme provides Nano with an outfit to wear while the other girls start marveling at Nano's shrunken size. Lunch period soon comes to an end, and the group returns to their classes, with Nano riding in Rentarou's pocket and taking notes with a miniature pencil and notebook fashioned by Rentarou.
After school, Rentarou invites Nano to stay the night at his house. On the way there, a sudden windstorm kicks up, blowing a plastic bag onto Rentarou's face.
