too fantastical

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome: The Shredder and Krang (along with Bebop and Rocksteady) are on Earth while the Technodrome is stranded on Dimension X, meaning they no longer have access to their alien tech and weaponry, forcing Krang to take over the old 1964 World’s fair Hall of science building which may have some tech that Krang can modify to use according to his needs. Of course Berserko [[spoiler:aka Krang's former weapons engineer, Drakus]] is also using the same building as ''his'' base of operations, for presumably the same reasons. Once he is defeated, Shredder and Krang take over the stuff he left behind along with everything else the building already had.

* NiceJobBreakingItHero: Had Raphael not remarked that the Shredder was bluffing, he probably wouldn't have detonated the explosives in the Channel 6 building, since it was still standing when the Turtles returned with Krang after recuing him from hostage, despite missing Shredder's imposed deadline.

* TookALevelInJerkass: While Burne was already a JerkAss, he becomes even more of one here, wrongfully blaming the Turtles on the destruction of the Channel 6 building, even though he knows Shredder was the one who blew it up, if his remark that every time he causes trouble its because of them has anything to go. Over the next few episodes (until his [[ChuckCunninghamSyndrome sudden disappearance]]) he has a smear campaign against the Turtles

* UngratefulBastard: After the Turtles apprehend Berserko, Burne blames them for the Channel 6 building's destruction, claiming that Shredder (who was the one who blew it up) only commits his acts of terrorism because of the Turtles, when really it's the other way around.

* ArtShift: The entire show now has a much darker colour palette. The Turtles themselves have start to look closer to their [[Film/TeenageMutantNinjaTurtles 1990 live action movie counterparts]] (and a little bit like their [[ComicBook/TeenageMutantNinjaTurtlesMirage Mirage comics counterparts]]). April also has blue eyes now, instead of her regular black eyes.

* BigDamnHeroes: Splinter manages to infiltrate the Channel 6 News building and break out April and her co-workers being held hostage before the explosion. Despite the fact the doors were held by a twisted pipe, Splinter managed to break it with a karate chop (something he's never tried breaking with his bare hands before).

Shredder isn't holding a detonator before the building explodes, so the bomb was likely on a timer, and would have gone off no matter what Raphael said
