* OffModel: Alice's nose vanishes in the final scene featuring her.
** One Twin's ''arm'' vanishes for a shot or two, after he dips his finger in Ozzal's blood.
** The main Triplet is animated with five-fingered hands when he goes to "hug" the Twins, while his brothers have six-digit hands. In all other scenes, they have seven fingers on each hand.
** The Twins' fancy uniforms are briefly miscolored to resemble the usual versions of the uniforms (when one tastes Ozzal's blood). The colors are corrected in the shots after.
** The Triplets' gloves are mistakenly colored in as their hands, in the sequence where Ozzal beams the Twins back on to his ship. Their shoes wind up all colored black as well, rather than each having one black shoe and one cyan-colored shoe.
** In an early scene where the Twins appear, they're drawn much larger than the inmates due to a perspective error in character layout. This also happens in an earlier shot with Paul and Nicky, where Paul's body and head were drawn in a larger scale.
** The little girls in the Jacknife opening sequence are initially colored differently from each other, but then switch to having the same color scheme in the shot following Jailbot letting them have all the crane machine toys.

* {{Blooper}}: Due to a lip-synch error, the Twins' voices switch after they turn around in their seats (after the Triplets appear on their screen). This also happened with "Hot Chick", although the crew just ran with it. [[SingleMindedTwins As they usually act as one]], these type of errors aren't sweated over as much.

* ShrugOfGod: Christy Karacas mentioned that this episode was never really ''meant'' to be continued at all, and expressed confusion at why fans even thought it would be and why they acted shocked at what happened, seeing as many endings were simply meant as gags (owing to the negative continuity). Even so, he teased the idea of it possibly being revisited.

** Elliot Byrne's original layout of the planet that the Triplets conquered had an Ohm (of ''Manga/NausicaaOfTheValleyOfTheWind'') visible as one of the creatures. The finished layout in the episode has the creature much less visible and moved nearly off-screen. The Triplets' ship colors were also tweaked, to have the details and lasers on it be red (to go along with their theme color) rather than light blue/cyan.
* WorkingTitle: This episode's title seemed unable to be decided or agreed on by those who worked on it. The very writer of the episode intended it as "The Trouble with Triples", which was finally used in the DVD liner notes for season 3 (and used on its IMDB page). However, at other points, it seems the titles "Troubles with Triplets" and "Troubles with Triples" were used in its production (and the latter did make it on to another part of the DVD). Adult Swim confused the matter more by using each of the other two titles at different points on their site, and other TV schedule listings for the episode couldn't agree on the title either. As it stands, the most official title is indeed "The Trouble with Triples", although some of the crew members will sometimes use one of the other two titles when listing their work done in it.
* YourSizeMayVary: The animators really can't decide just ''how'' huge Ozzal is meant to be.

The only difference is that the Doctor's experiment didn't have lasers fired into his eyes, and that the viewers could directly see the images that he was being forced to look at.]]

* WhatCouldHaveBeen: There was some very brief talk and wondering among the crew if this episode would be used as the season finale, but the idea got no further than that. Had this been the finale, it does leave the question of ''if'' the plot would have been resolved as a hook for season 4, or just ignored as "Time-Police" was (as well as being like Karacas' intent for the final version).

** Unusually, the Twins are shown bleeding in red during their brainwashing/studying session at the end, from their noses and ears being ripped into with wires.

* AbusiveParents: Although he may have seemed easily defeated the last time around by the Twins mocking him and refusing to come home, Ozzal gleefully lives for brutality amongst the family and society. He's also shown to neglect any children who can't please him in that regard, and only lets the Twins win because he believed the Warden stabbing him was ''their'' doing and that they thought to include him in the fun and violence. Although, his method of having his children "study" is also brutal itself.

** The Triplets wind up having karma backfire as well when the Twins' illusions and transmutations are reset. The three then realize that Superjail was not some majestic planet but a mere "playground", that they staked their claim on such a useless place, and they appear to self-destruct in their rage (or do ''something'' [[GainaxEnding strange to Superjail and the Earth in that rage]]). To add to their rage, they'd expected their brothers to be disqualified, only for their father to suddenly change the rules out of being impressed and wanting to make the Twins overlords.
