* RealityEnsues:
** While initially happy to discover that "Pink" is alive, Yellow also becomes upset with "Pink" for hiding her survival for thousands of years and causing both her and Blue untold amounts of grief.
** Given what we've seen of Gem loyalty to the Diamonds in the past, it shouldn't come as a surprise that (despite what was theorised in [[Recap/StevenUniverseS3E14MonsterReunion "Monster Reunion"]]) Nephrite is still ''very much loyal'' to Yellow and Blue Diamond. The same goes for when Steven arrives on Homeworld; nobody in Pink's court is upset in the slightest at the lies and they're just thrilled that "Pink" came back.
** Yellow Diamond also points out that they can't hold onto Centipeetle forever to keep her uncorrupted. It's not practical, and there are ''hundreds'' of these Gems.
** Just because Bismuth has accepted that she shouldn't shatter the Diamonds doesn't mean she agrees with the idea of working with them, so she decides to stay behind on Earth (well, that and she needs to looks after Lapis and Peridot while they haven't yet reformed).
** Blue and Yellow may accept Steven as Pink, but they are still [[BadBoss Bad Bosses]] who treat their subjects pretty badly. After learning what their blast really did to the Gems on Earth, the only things they regret are that they left [[MoralityPet Pink]] surrounded by savage beasts, and that they needlessly ruined many otherwise loyal and useful soldiers.
** Blue and Yellow’s [[ThisIsGonnaSuck attitude]] towards explaining the situation to White is extremely justified. After all, they basically started a civil war, lost an entire colony, created a false martyr, and mutated an entire planet’s worth of loyal Gems into horrific monsters (not to mention destroying two of their own personal warships and losing control of the Cluster). All of which was over absolutely nothing. Taking everything into consideration, White has every right to be furious with the other Diamonds.

* AmbiguousDisorder: White Diamond's Pearl decrees that White Diamond wants to speak to Pink Diamond (Steven) alone. She does not even look at him or anyone else as she does, all while keeping a vacant smile. Couple that with the position she is stuck in and the noticeable fracture on her face, it is very likely that she has suffered a trauma from the AmbiguouslyEvil White Diamond that has left both a physical and psychological scar. To top it all off, she's the only Pearl who isn't voiced by Deedee Magno Hall, but rather Christine Ebersole, the same voice actress for White Diamond.

* OffModel: Due to this episode being animated by the studio Rough Draft Korea, Yellow Diamond's sclera repeatedly change back and forth from white to yellow, once even within the very same shot.

* AdultFear: Yellow and Blue are terrified about what White Diamond will do to "Pink" for her rebellion. They find their mother figure terrifying and want to shield their little sister by softening the blow.

* DoesThisRemindYouOfAnything: White Pearl's robotic nature and unceasing smile, coupled with the fact that she has the same voice as White Diamond, may lead one to think that she was brainwashed by White herself.

* {{Adorkable}}: It's demonstrated that Pink was [[DrivesLikeCrazy hilariously awful]] at driving her own Leg Ship (a deliberate contrast from Blue and Yellow's Arm Ships) when Steven awkwardly steers his way into the bay to take off for Homeworld. He apologizes to Pearl and the other Diamonds, saying that his mother/Pink was probably more graceful driving the ship than he is, and all Pearl can say is a fond "Heh. No... not really," and all the while [[FreezeFrameBonus Yellow has her eyes shut in exasperation while Blue simply has a goofy grin on her face remembering Pink's antics.]]

* DoesThisRemindYouOfAnything: White Pearl's robotic nature and unceasing smile, coupled with the crack-like scars over her eye, may cause one to think she's been lobotomized.

** White Pearl floats around while staying in the same position, has a crack going through where an eye should be into her ''hair'', and is colored in shades of gray, in contrast with every other character. She, unlike all the other Pearls seen so far, also breaks the tradition of Gem types having the same voice actors by having a different voice, sharing a voice actor with her mistress.

* TokenEvilTeammate: Blue and Yellow Diamond are still {{Jerkass}}es towards Earth, The Crystal Gems and [[BadBoss their former minions]] but willingly help Steven on his quest to restore the corrupted Gems taking the Crystal Gems to homeworld and presumably arranging full pardons for their role in the gem war.

* TearsOfJoy: Blue Diamond cries these as she cuddles her long-lost "Pink Diamond" in her hands. Her emotion powers cause the rest of the Crystal Gems (sans Connie) to cry these as well. She later does this again when Steven flies the ship.

Steven explains as best he can about Pink/Rose giving up his physical form to create him, and that he doesn't have any of her memories; Yellow assumes that Pink just has amnesia. * FiveSecondForeshadowing: The first hint that the meeting with White Diamond won't go according to plan is when her Pearl appears to escort "Pink Diamond" to White's chamber. White Pearl's face is covered in cracks, and [[WhamLine Deedee Magno Hall doesn't voice her]].

* GoneHorriblyWrong: Apparently, when the Diamonds blasted the Earth with their combined attack, they were supposed to ''obliterate'' every Gem on its surface, [[FateWorseThanDeath but they ended up corrupting them instead.]] [[Recap/StevenUniverseS1E44MarbleMadness It was foreshadowed by Peridot in "Marble Madness" when she states that Homeworld's records said that Gems were wiped out on Earth]] [[Recap/StevenUniverseS4E1KindergartenKid and in "The Kindergarten Kid" by saying that Homeworld doesn't have any corrupted Gems]], since it's revealed that Earth isn't supposed to have any corrupted Gems as well.

* GreaterScopeVillain: Where Homeworld and the Crystal Gem Rebellion has been concerned, thus far the emphasis has been on Yellow and Blue as the leaders behind the forces arrayed against Earth, with White Diamond being hinted at but nothing of substance ever said. Now that Steven has created at least an uneasy peace with Yellow and Blue, we are given information on White. She is more powerful than the other diamonds, in terms of political power, size, and actual powers, and is apparently temperamental to the point where Yellow and Blue are ''frightened'' of her.

The version of the episode posted on the Cartoon Network US website and app goes straight to the credits, which are normally separated from the episode's content by a commercial break (which comes in after the credits here).
