* FreakOut: Batten, Black Rose, and Sails get this reaction when Sonic rows them to the ''Angel's Voyage'' as fast as a modern speedboat.[[note]]While that's average by today's standards, in the golden age of piracy it would've felt like a roller-coaster ride.[[/note]] Black Rose is particularly terrified, as she's hyperventilating when they get to the ship.

PyrrhicVictory: The former crew of Knucks invaded Knuck’s ship for supplies and tend to bond the crew up, Sonic however stepped up, fraught the invading priates and was winning until he fell off the ship. However, apart from Knucks, the rest of the crew fraught the invading primates back, forcing them to retreat, but it wasn’t without having raided Knucks and his crew successfully of their sea dogs first.

* SlasherSmile: Batten, Black Rose, and Sails switch between this and a DeathGlare while attacking Sonic on the islet.

After returning alongside Nine to fight the Chaos Council, Sonic suddenly finds himself speeding through into a new Shatter Space, the tropical and watery No Land, and meets a pirate crew of counterparts of his friends being lead by a counterpart of Knuckles, Dread. However, despite a welcoming first meeting, Sonic soon finds out that this crew isn't exactly the best in the seas, with Dread turning out to be far different from the determined Knuckles.
