This feels like a misuse because it's a viewer's opinion. Nobody commented in the episode on who is right or how both sides have a point.

* BothSidesHaveAPoint: Charlie and Pim argue about their respective attitudes on the job and neither side is exactly wrong.
** Charlie is right to say that Pim shouldn't have to force people to be happy 24/7 and Charlie is allowed to voice his unhappiness, especially since Pim is the only one being affected by his mood. Charlie made it clear to Pim that he just wanted to go home on Christmas Eve, not work overtime by looking for a Christmas tree at the last minute for his boss. This is the right time to be annoyed about doing his job and, regardless of his attitude on the matter, he's still doing his job to help others.
** While the timing of the argument isn't great, Pim is right to say that Charlie's cynicism can be draining to others. For the majority of the time, Charlie appears completely disinterested in helping others and Pim has to compensate for this by perky for both of them. Pim references Desmond from the first episode, Charlie was disinterested in helping Desmond and it was Pim who had to work harder for both of them to help him, otherwise, Desmond would have committed suicide.

TRS says not a trope

* TheLastOfTheseIsNotLikeTheOthers: Just before Charlie reaches Satan's dwelling space, he walks across a frozen lake with the souls of the damned embedded into it, who all utter various threats at him, except for the very last one, who simply politely apologizes to him due to being unable to think of anything to say, which Charlie is to quick to assure him that there's no need to be sorry.

** Charlie is right to say that Pim shouldn't have to force people to be happy and come with him on his quest to help others, he's not entitled to Charlie's personal happiness and Pim is the only one being affected by his mood. Charlie made it clear to Pim that he just wanted to go home on Christmas Eve, not work overtime by looking for a Christmas tree at the last minute for his boss. This is the right time to be annoyed about doing his job, he shouldn't have to be happy 24/7 and he's still doing his job to help others.
** While the timing of the argument isn't great, Pim is right to say that Charlie's cynicism can be draining to others. For a majority of the time, Charlie appears completely disinterested in helping others and Pim has to compensate for this by perky for both of them so customers would be accepting of their attempts to counsel and encourage clients to find their smile. The most notable example Pim uses is Desmond; although Pim isn't able to cheer him up, he at least tried to help whereas Charlie immediately gave up and would have let Desmond kill himself if it weren't for the Bliblies because he felt that the job was beyond their capabilities.
