* TruthInTelevision: Legal associates (lawyers who aren't partners) at big name law firms don't get a choice in the cases they take. That Jen is a celebrity hire doesn't change that fact.

* LeaningOnTheFourthWall: When discussing his past battle with Blonsky and how he's put it behind him, Bruce says that he was "a different person back then, literally", referencing the fact that Bruce was recast between ''Film/TheIncredibleHulk2008'' and ''Film/TheAvengers2012'', while still making sense in-universe as his current form, Smart Hulk, is a vastly different character from the Banner/Hulk who existed prior to ''Film/AvengersEndgame''. [[AsideGlance Jennifer briefly looks at the camera and sarcastically laughs when she hears this.]]

Misuse of Logo Joke. Fortunately, someone already put down Couch Gag.

* LogoJoke: The title card "She-Hulk: Attorney at Law" immediately changes to "She-Hulk: Attorney for Hire" to reflect Jen being fired seconds before the title card.

* AdaptationalContextChange: When Holden Holiway hires Jen, he does so to capitalize on her newfound She-Hulk persona for the superhuman division. In the comics this is inverted, since there Holiway states he wants Jen's sharp legal mind as opposed to She-Hulk's reckless adventuring.

* TheGuardsMustBeCrazy: When it comes to keeping visitors safe from Blonsky in his cell, the guards are very no-nonsense about the procedures that they need to follow. That said, the fact that they appear to be completely unaware that Emil was left his cell to participate in Xialing's fight club indicates they aren't quite as competent as they try to look.

* TheGuardsMustBeCrazy: Downplayed. When it comes to keeping visitors safe from Blonsky in his cell, the guards are very no-nonsense about the procedures that they need to follow. That said, the fact that they appear to be completely unaware that Emil was leaving his cell to participate in Xialing's fight club on a regular basis indicates they aren't quite as competent as they try to look. That, or the Sorcerer Supreme is a ''little'' above their pay-grade.

Per discussion (again). And Technology Marches On is misuse and misuse of the "in universe" label.

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome: No, a DA's office would ''not'' want a superhero on the team. it would be impossible to find a jury who's unaware of them and it would make jury selection impossible even before the fact that a judge would probably forbid anything like that just because having a superhero calling someone a criminal ... just, no. Jen's boss is correct, she's a liability, just not a financial one.
* TechnologyMarchesOn: In Universe. FTL travel is now possible for interstellar civilizations, which was previously shown to rely on a portal network to accomplish this. Previously, this had only been possible on a single Skrull ship, and the Sakkarans were not shown to have access to it until now.

* InformedAbility: Holden Holliway claims that part of his reason for hiring Jen is that he was impressed by the fact that she would have won her case against his firm, GLK&H, if not for the extenuating circumstances. He claims this was not an easy thing to do. While we did see Jen rehearsing her closing in the previous episode, we did ''not'' see her deliver the final product, and her opponent's closing argument was [[ArtisticLicenseLaw legally incoherent]], leaving one to wonder what Holliway was expecting.
