* ADayInTheLimeLight: Given the episode's title, Simon is the main focus as he tries to figure out the murder of a mundane named Heidi, who was drained of her blood and believes himself to be the culprit as he doesn't remember last night's events. Clary, Jace (who has the least amount of screentime), Isabelle, Luke and Alec are reduced to secondary characters. Magnus, as well, as he's haunted by memories of finding his mother dead, having comitted suicide after finding out he's the son of a demon, and his stepfather lashing out at and calling him an "abomination", which was a product of the torture he endured from the Inquisitor, while trapped on Valentine's body in "You Are Not Your Own", ignited by Valentine's agony rune that makes someone relive their worst memories.
