** Despite losing an eye, her arm being horribly injured, and greatly weakened, Cinder still proves to be powerful.
** While losing his stinger has hurt Tyrian tremendously, he is still more than capable of ripping a Grimm apart.

* KickTheSonOfABitch: While Ironwood seems to be 'slipping' a little, and his actions to prevent people from entering or leaving Atlas could be been as going too far, it will greatly affect Jacques as a business man. Given the [[CorruptCorporateExecutive type]] [[AbusiveParents of]] [[{{Jerkass}} man]] [[ControlFreak he]] is, Ironwood's action has hit a rather deserving target.
* LaserGuidedKarma: Jacques gets hit with this two-fold.
** After an entire volume of acting like a ControlFreak {{Jerkass}} towards Weiss because she refuses to suck up to him, Jacques is subjected to the same treatment by Ironwood who tells him that Jacques is going to be in much worse straits business-wise if he doesn't stay on Ironwood's good side.
** The daughter he has been acting domineering towards, disinherited, and put under house arrest is well on her way of escaping from his grip and to where he won't be able to get her. Bonus points for using her Glyph to lock him in his own office while she made her getaway.

* ProperlyParanoid:
** Blake and Sun's suspicions about the White Fang turn out to be correct when Ghira's information reveals that Adam is planning on taking control.
** Ironwood wanting to control the border of Atlas can be seen as this given how people who infiltrated Beacon as exchange students led to its downfall before.
* PuttingTheBandBackTogether: Ruby, Blake, and Weiss are all heading toward Mistral now, while it is [[AmbiguousSituation ambiguous]] if Yang will go after Ruby by heading to Mistral too, or instead, go find her mother now that she knows were she is.
** And even if she chooses the later she is heading in that general direction anyway since Raven operates between the borders of the kingdom, so the potential for crossing paths is there.
* RunForTheBorder: Weiss has to do this, since Ironwood is going to have them closed fairly soon, trapping her in Atlas unless she hurries.
* TheRunaway: Weiss has officially become this after escaping from the manor.
* SanitySlippage: Based on how Ironwood is speaking during his meeting with Jacques, he seems to be on the verge of losing it. Jacques of all people lampshade that Ironwood needs to get a grip.

* YouCantGoHomeAgain: Weiss's segment ends with Klein pointing out that Winter is practically the only family she has left. If Weiss makes it across the border on time, it will be difficult for her to return to Atlas anyway. Regardless, Weiss's home is no longer her home thanks to her father.

** I took that to mean Qrow (whom Tyrian had just claimed was dead) was the last scout Salem's opposition had (source of information, and thus ''eye''), but I suppose her comment could be interpreted that way as well.
