* GroinAttack: Narrowly avoided by Cutter, as Jenny has to use an ornamental katana to [[OffWithHisHead behead]] a worm that has latched onto his thigh. It promptly turns into a ComplainingAboutRescuesTheyDontLike argument.
-->'''Cutter''': Watch where you're swinging that thing!

Added DiffLines:

* CheekCopy: {{Inverted}}. Stephen slams a worm's proboscis into a photocopier. The machine starts scanning copies, giving us a lovely view of the inside of the worm's LampreyMouth.
* CurseCutShort: The first time Stephen and Cutter smell the gas.
-->'''Stephen:''' It smells like sh- ...something rotting.
* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: Stephen uses a knife to pin a worm's proboscis to a water cooler.
* IWarnedYou: When Jenny informs Cutter she's coming up to see what's going on, he tells her explicitly to take the stairs instead of the elevator. Not wanting to walk up several flights in heels, she takes the elevator, and finds herself in the middle of the fog at the mercy of a worm. Cutter completely lays into her when he saves her.
-->'''Cutter:''' The next time I tell you to take the stairs, you take the stairs!

Added DiffLines:

* SwallowedWhole: One particularly large worm nearly does this to Connor.
* TooDumbToLive: Terry. Upon hearing the fire alarm, he tells his coworkers to ignore it and continue the presentation, then ventures out into the fog by himself to find out what happened. You get one guess at which of the three employees doesn't make it.

** KillItWithWater: Cutter and Stephen counter this by activating the sprinklers, cooling it down enough to kill the newly spawned worms.

An anomaly opens in an office block, releasing a cloud of noxious gas and a community of giant man-eating worms. The team are joined by a new PR representative, Jenny Lewis - whom Cutter is convinced is Claudia Brown.

* ArtisticLicensePaleontology: The giant worms in this episode are, well giant, but come from a time prior to the oxygen catastrophe. The problem is, any animal from this time would need to be ''small'', because oxygen is what allowed creatures to get huge on Earth (it's a metabolic fuel).
* KillItWithFire: Or, rather, heat: since the worms need to breath in the fog that they came with, the team simply raises the temperature in the building, causing the air to flow out of the building they are trapped in. [[NiceJobBreakingItHero However, this causes the worms to start spawning.]]
