* AmbiguousGender: The Eeveelutions are referred to mostly as 'it', but some have feminine personalities and Meowth and Oshawott are visibly infatuated with several of them. This is ironic to the games mechanics, where getting female Eeveelutions is much rarer than males.

Back at the party, Meowth and Wobbuffet try to entertain the guests by dressing up as Leafeon and Glaceon, but nobody is very impressed, and the real Leafeon and Glaceon are actually a bit offended. Meowth and Wobbuffet are sent blasting off, and the party continues without them. Umbreon returns and uses an attack to carry some watermelons away, and the other partygoers follow it to the top of a cliff. A number of intimidating-looking Pokémon are waiting there, and a returning Meowth and Wobbuffet assume the worst. Sylveon kicks them out a second time before a fight can break out, and the newcomers are revealed to be Umbreon's friends. They use their powers to bring the party to a new level, and all the Pokémon have a great time together while munching on watermelon slices. Meowth and Wobbuffet return to apologize, and the rest of the party continues without incident.

Added DiffLines:

* ButtMonkey: Oshawott, Meowth and Wobbuffet keep finding themselves at the brunt of the evolutions' powers, inadvertently or not.

Added DiffLines:

* DisproportionateRetribution: The evolutions initiate Meowth and Wobbuffet's blasting off RunningGag for their silly antics twice over. It is naturally far more painless and temporary than the anime's standard however.

Added DiffLines:

* GoKartingWithBowser: Meowth and Wobbuffet are downright friendly in this special, providing food for the evolutions. Though they are sent blasting off twice for accidentally offending the Pokemon, they are forgiven and allowed back in on the party by the end.

Added DiffLines:

* SugarAndIcePersonality: Glaceon and Leafeon, though enjoying the party with the others, are quick to use attacks on those who get on their nerves.

!!Japanese Title: ''Pikachu and Eievui Friends''
!!!Original Airdate: July 13th, 2013
!!!US Airdate: December 6th, 2013

While Pikachu, Oshawott, Pansage, and Axew are playing, they come across a field of flowers where a wild Sylveon is having fun. Sylveon brings them to a gigantic treehouse, where a complete family of Eevee and evolutions live. They're about to throw a party, and Pikachu and friends are invited! One by one, Eevee and the rest of the evolutions are introduced to the group, though Oshawott's impulsiveness gets it into a bit of trouble.

It turns out that Meowth and Wobbuffet are attending the party as well, and for once, they aren't here to cause trouble. In fact, they're here to cook dinner for everyone, and Meowth is a bit concerned that there won't be enough food for the new guests. His worries are unfounded, and all the Pokémon enjoy the wonderfully crafted meal. Sylveon realizes that Umbreon hasn't showed up for dinner, and expresses its concerns to Pikachu. Meanwhile, Umbreon is calling to someone inside a strange cave.

* AmazingTechnicolorBattlefield: Although no battle takes place, Gothitelle's outer space illusions do make for a spectacular view.
* ContinuityNod: Meowth mentions that he's good at cooking noodles, a skill that was originally displayed all the way back in a Sinnoh-era episode.
* EarlyBirdCameo: This is Sylveon's anime debut, and in Japan, this short was seen several months before the release of ''X and Y''.
* ShrinkingViolet: Flareon is very shy. Unfortunately, it has a tendency to raise the surrounding temperature when it's nervous.
