The fanfiction opens on Fic!Lincoln selecting a pack of barbecue chips. Fic!Lynn approaches and asks him what he's doing, which the real Lincoln points out should be obvious. Then, the Louds realise that the story hasn't got an established setting yet. Fic!Lincoln offers Fic!Lynn some of his chips, but she turns them down in favour of the "extreme" barbecue flavour. She begins eating, and Lucy notices that Fic!Lynn is eating one chip at a time, which she notes is odd for her. Lola claims that proper ladies eat things one at a time, but her siblings point out that ''she'' doesn't.
Fic!Lincoln goes upstairs and hears scuffling coming from Fic!Lori and Fic!Leni's room, so he goes in to find the latter pacing nervously. He asks her what's wrong and she (in an oddly deadpan way) explains that she doesn't have the "flair" needed for her photo at the Royal Woods High Fashion Show.
Fic!Lincoln notes that Fic!Leni's clothes look fine, but she replies that the other teens in the fashion show have gimmicks and she needs one of her own to gain likes. Fic!Lincoln wants help but is unsure what to do... so Lola suggests making dummy accounts and flooding Fic!Leni's profile with likes, to the shock of everyone else.
Fic!Leni tosses a bunch of clothes on Fic!Lincoln, which gives her the idea of making him model clothes with her to look cute. He's reluctant because he's "not much of a model" (and the real Lincoln finds the idea embarrassing) but Lucy claims that anyone can be a model. Leni and Lola refute and say that modelling is very hard. Fic!Lincoln reluctantly agrees to be Fic!Leni's model.
Meanwhile back on the couch Lisa notices that their expressions weren't described, and as Fic!Leni and Fic!Lincoln go to work, Lisa compares the fanfic characters' lack of expression to Lucy. Lucy points out that Lisa is also stoic and the two begin arguing until Lincoln interrupts.
Fic!Lincoln and Fic!Leni dress up as a cowboy and cowgirl, while Lisa continues to criticise the lack of emoting, accompanied by Lola. Then, Fic!Lincoln and Fic!Leni dress up like it's the 1910's. Then, finally, Fic!Lincoln dresses as a greaser (making the real Lincoln, plus Leni, nostalgic), while Fic!Leni wears a seafoam green blouse and poodle skirt with matching socks and shoes.
Later, Fic!Lincoln is playing video games, when Fic!Leni comes in, inadvertently getting his character killed but Fic!Lincoln doesn't mind. Their photos have one fifth place (but it's unknown out of how many). One of the comments calls Fic!Lincoln cute, which causes Leni and Lola to coo at Lincoln.
On the day of the fashion show, Fic!Todd and Fic!Richie tease Fic!Lincoln but apart from that, he's pretty popular, especially among the girl classmates and the boy classmates who have crushes on Fic!Leni. Fic!Rusty wants to help out, so Fic!Lincoln offers him the chance of helping Fic!Lisa with her experiments or Fic!Luan with her web series.
Fic!Todd and Fic!Richie are bitter and decide to "add something extra" to the fashion show. They go to Fic!Liam and offer to work for him for free, and he lets them. Then, we get a scene with Fic!Lincoln and Fic!Leni involving discussion of his new popularity that would be heartwarming except, much to Lisa's annoyance, it's also devoid of emotion. Fic!Rusty, who's been working on Fic!Luan's podcast, runs out of the room being chased by Fic!Lisa, who he apparently promised an internal organ.
Over the past few days, Fic!Lincoln and Fic!Leni get ready for the fashion show, while Fic!Todd and Fic!Richie work shovelling manure, then they sneak backstage with a burlap sack... Lincoln and Lucy have caught on that they want to dump manure on Fic!Leni and Fic!Lincoln but wonder why they didn't just buy fertiliser.
Sure enough, they dump the manure on Fic!Lincoln, making Leni (the real one) mad and vengeful. Fic!Leni walks over and ''hugs'' him, grossing out the real Leni. The real Lincoln and Leni start hugging and Lola wants a hug too, so she hugs Lisa.
Some time later, Fic!Leni, dressed as the Eleven of Hearts, takes Fic!Lincoln to a convention.
With the fanfic done, Lola starts hugging Lisa, Lucy leaves, and Leni, hugging Lincoln, imagines running the bullies over.
