Even though Nighteye was planning on bringing Midoriya in no matter what he does, he wants to give him a tough reminder that the boy isn't worthy of wielding One For All. At the very least, his witnessing of Midoriya not causing collateral damage against his All Might collection during the test gives him enough reason to approve of hiring him for Work Studies.
* SeriousBusiness: Midoriya discovers that Nighteye is a ''huge'' All Might fan like him. He is criticized by not accurately imitating All Might's face, but saves face himself by recalling a past heroic act as the reason he used that specific look.
