* NiceJobBreakingItHero: As well-meaning as their attempts to inform Marinette are, Félix and Kagami ultimately prove to be a distraction that separates Marinette and Adrien just long enough for Gabriel's interference to derail Adrien's attempt to tell Marinette the truth. Furthermore, by innocently trapping Marinette in their ExpositionBeam, she's left unavailable for the battle with Nightormentor and can't use her WorldHealingWave to cure Adrien from the effects of nightmare gas, which scares him out of telling Marinette the truth after the danger has passed.

* ThatThingIsNotMyChild: Colt took this attitude toward Felix after his body started succumbing to the effects of the damaged Peacock Miraculous, calling him "monster".

* YouAreGrounded: Gabriel and Tsurugi punish their children by forcing them into rooms fit for solitary confinement. Apparently this is so they won't be involved in Operation Perfect Allaince.

* TheStinger: The final scene has Gabriel and Tsurugi declare that it's time to begin Operation Perfect Alliance.

Since Ladybug wasn't present for the Nightormentor fight and didn't actually know anything about the villain when she purifies the akuma, she is unable to repair the nightmares inflicted on Rose, Juleka, and Adrien. Both events don't go unnoticed by Gabriel who hatches a dangerous plan to find his son; while Cat Noir is forced to fight the dreaded Nightormentor, Félix and Kagami decide it's high time for the only one who can defeat Monarch to learn the full truth...

When Adrien disobeys his father to go find Marinette, Gabriel akumatizes himself to find his son. Meanwhile, Marinette is certain that Adrien is looking for her. Thinking she's joining the boy she loves, she will discover a secret nothing could have prepared her for.
