Garrett's defence tries to portray Amanda as a self-obsessed attention-seeker,

Amanda's desperate parents while prosecuting want to agree to this. However, Price is concerned that in a few years' time Garrett could be back on the case.streets and kill again. Price makes the difficult decision not to offer a plea, and instead push for conviction with a minimum sentence of 25 years to life. He wins the case.
