* JerkassBall: Hank is really antagonistic towards Bobby in this episode. When Bobby sees Connie playing bluegrass music with Hank and the guys', he tries to join in by rhythmically blowing into a glass jug, and Hank sternly tells him to put it down as he uses it to store items in. When Connie shows she can play the violin as a bluegrass musician, as she had secretly listened to bluegrass behind Kahn's back, Hank takes her to get her violin fixed in a music shop where the owner tells them of the blue grass contest in Branson, Misouri, and when Bobby plays some bongo drums Hank yells at him to stop. When Bobby tells Hank that he sold a joke to Yakov Smirnoff for $20 dollars, Hank snatches the bill from his hand and tells him to stop taking money from his wallet.

* JerkassRealization: After Connie tells off Hank for how rudely he's been talking to Bobby, and for making her practice as much as Kahn had back home, she and Bobby run off. When Hank goes looking for the kids, Kahn tracks him down, angry that he kidnapped Connie and kept her from winning the classical music contest in Forth Worth, Texas and blames Bobby for tricking her into going to Missouri. Hank then defends Bobby saying he sold a joke to Yakov Smirnoff, suddenly realizing that Bobby's true talent lies in comedy. When they track down the kids trying to earn money for bus tickets, Hank gives bobby his money back, and the quartet then plays a song, with Hank on guitar, Kahn on vocals, Bobby on a glass jug, and Connie on the violin.
