Dokko is sleeping in his bed when suddenly a meteorite falls into his yard. In the morning, Dokko and Barry examine a strange flower that has grown at the site of the meteorite fall. Barry thinks it's just a weed with no name. Dokko objects; everything in this world has a name and a scientific explanation. He begins to study the mysterious plant. Dokko compares the photos taken with photos of other plants and comes to the conclusion that he has discovered a species unknown to science. Meanwhile, Barry drives up to the flower on a tractor and offers to weed it out, but Dokko furiously refuses. The flower grows quickly, and at night, while watching, Dokko discovers that it glows.

The next day, when Dokko rushes to the flower with a medical kit, Barry suggests that he plant his breeding rose-turnips instead. Dokko does not pay attention to his friend; he is completely absorbed in research. Night comes, and the flower begins to glow again, but this time it emits pleasant music and attracts butterflies that dance around it. Dokko records music on a dictaphone in amazement. He puts his observations on paper, but they are so fantastic and incredible that Dokko just can't believe it. Just the sight of a flower that seems to violate all all scientific laws infuriates him, and he destroys all his records, after which he weeds out the flower with the help of a tractor.

In the morning, Barry finds his friend on a pile of earth and suggests planting breeding plants in this place so that everything is according to science. At night, Dokko leaves the house and examines the place where a flower once grew, in the place of which rose-turnips are now planted. He sits down on the grass, turns on a dictaphone with the music of a flower, and shines a flashlight into the sky.
