General Wade Eiling from Cadmus steals the [[StupidJetpackHitler "Captain Nazi"]] [[SuperSerum super-soldier serum]] and injects it into himself to "protect" the world from metahumans. With the more powerful League members busy, Green Arrow leads Stargirl, S.T.R.I.P.E., Shining Knight, Crimson Avenger, Vigilante, and Speedy against him. Eiling only stops short of killing Shining Knight when a civilian points out that Eiling's reason for attacking the heroes is non-existent, as his entire reason for the attack was to rid the world of meta-humans and he was the only one there with super powers.

* AlternateCompanyEquivalent: We get three in this episode. Spy Smasher stops the Nazis [[ComicBook/CaptainAmerica from creating a super soldier]] and steals the formula. General Eiling, who is [[ComicBook/TheHulk a general obsessed with stopping metahumans and protecting America]], injects himself wtih the Super Formula and becomes [[ComicBook/IncredibleHulk a giant muscle bound monster that gets around by leaping]]. Although Eiling's monster form is actually from when (in the comics) he transferred his mind into the body of the monster "Shaggy Man." This episode also aired [[HilariousInHindsight a couple of years before]] ComicBook/RedHulk [[HilariousInHindsight debuted]].

* BadassBystander[=/=]ShamedByAMob: After Eiling gives all the Justice League people a sound thrashing, he gets into another "must protect the people from metahumans regardless of the cost" spiel. The crowd responds with angry stares, and then a old lady calls him out on his disregard of the cost and a little kid tells him ''he's'' the only one with superpowers around. This makes him realize that [[YouAreWhatYouHate he's become what he hates]]. He leaves, [[KnightTemplar but not before he says he will be right one of these days and that they need the likes of him to protect the people from the likes of the Justice League]].

* SupermanStaysOutOfGotham: The League is spread pretty thin at the moment, so the heavy hitters are busy in various other locations. The featured heroes are only at the parade because they didn't currently have any assignments. Eiling is rather annoyed by all this, as he was hoping to fight Superman instead of heroes without powers.

Eiling existed well before Morrision\'s JLA run.

* CanonImmigrant: Eiling was first mentioned in the third incarnation of the Justice League (the ''JLA'' comics series). In that version, he was suffering from a brain tumor, leading him to give illogical orders and transplant his mind into the body of the "Shaggy Man."
* CastingGag: Speedy shows up, and he has the same voice actor as his '"WesternAnimation/TeenTitans'' incarnation and has the same outfit.

* HilariousInHindsight: General Eiling appears to be a take on General Thunderbolt Ross, as both of them are concerned about metahumans and believe the military should take them down. In this episode he transforms himself into [[ComicBook/RedHulk a large muscle bound monster]]. This was before Ross did the same thing in the comics.
