* EarlyBirdCameo: During Hilda and Alfur's break-in of the Safety Patrol Headquarters, they run past a bunker that houses a machine that resembles a giant flashlight. This is a quick nod to the giant torch gun from ''Hilda and the Mountain King'' and could potentially appear again in the upcoming 70-minute special.

* SecurityCling: When Deputy Gerda is about to pour a pitcher of water down the lighthouse where the elves are, thereby drowning them, Bartell pulls Adeline towards him in fear and need of protection.

* NotHelpingYourCase: Alfur is well aware of the process of returning home, which starts with surrendering his passport. He, instead, decides to run off, if only to stall for time. If not for the situation of his fellow elves being captured, requiring him to save them, he would have been in worst trouble if he was caught.
