* BittersweetEnding: Embla is stopped, breaking the curse on the royal family which means the war between Midgard's kingdoms is finally over. However, this peace came at the cost of Askr and Bruno's lives. Despite this, with the goddess gone, Veronica can finally be friends with Alfonse and Shareena, just like she always wanted.

The sixth Book of the game, starting from December 2021. Although there is a peace mending between Askr and Embla, villages in Askr and Embla are being consumed by darkness and isolated from the rest of the world. Investigating this phenomenon, the Order of Heroes cooperate with the dragon Askr's retainer Ash and Princess Veronica to find a solution to reverse it. However, a coup is being planned to get rid of Princess Veronica, and that the one responsible for the darkness in the first place is a power that rules over Embla: the dragon Embla herself.

** Askr references Lif and Thrasir, the founders of the Kingdom of Askr and the Emblian Empire, from whom the royal families are descended, in Chapter 9.

* SomeoneHasToDie: There's a glaring issue in the plan to purge Embla from Bruno and Veronica with the Key of Yggdrasil, one that the Askrans miss in their optimism: there's only ''one'' Key for ''two'' people, and if Alfonse were forced to choose between the two of them, he'd pick his old friend Bruno/Zacharias. Bruno on the other hand fully grasps the implications, and because his life's mission is to purge Embla from Veronica, this outcome is unacceptable: he launches a ploy to make Embla ''and'' the Askrans think the Key has been disabled and commits SuicideByCop, when in reality he snuck the Key to Veronica. Alfonse only realizes the truth after Bruno is dead. Fortunately, Embla does not.

** Veronica brings up [[VideoGame/FireEmblemTheSacredStones Seth]]'s words to her from a Book I Paralogue where he told her that a good ruler should care for their people, and asks Letizia to take care of the Emblian populace after Veronica's death.

* MetaphoricallyTrue: At the end of Chapter 5, Letizia mentions that Alfonse killed his father Gustav, with Alfonse not only stating that he did, but Gustav did abandon Alfonse during a crisis and Alfonse killed him with the intention that Gustav was in the way and Alfonse was the next in line for succession. While all of this is true, Alfonse did leave out that Gustav abandoned him ''briefly'' before performing a HeroicSacrifice for Alfonse, and in the middle of Gustav's sacrifice he told Alfonse to become a good king, and Alfonse did kill Gustav, but in two different ways and circumstances: Gustav sacrificing his life for Alfonse due to Hel's curse requiring SomeoneHasToDie due to Alfonse's reckless actions against Hel in Book III Chapter 4, blaming himself as if he killed him, and that Alfonse (and the Order of Heroes) killed Gustav again due to the latter being ReforgedIntoAMinion by Hel and was in the way between Alfonse and Hel and required a MercyKill in Book III Chapter 5.

* TemptingFate: Sharena optimistically says that once they defeat Embla, Zacharias will be able to return to Askr and no longer have to keep his distance from the royals. She asks Zacharias to promise they'll be friends like they used to be, and Zacharias does. Unfortunately, Zacharias dies by the end of the chapter.

* DubInducedPlothole: The end of Chapter 8 has Embla state that besides Veronica and Bruno, there are two others in front of her with her blood for her to possess, while Bruno exclaims "...Two others!?" and Veronica questions "...Wh-what?". However, in the Japanese version she states that the two others that have her blood besides the just-possessed Letizia are in front of her, that being Veronica and Bruno, and the both of them just have ellipses when they react.

* LittleBitBeastly: Both retainers to the gods Askr and Embla are humanoid with animal traits. Ash, the retainer to the Askr, can transform into a bovine Beast, and has fluffy ears and a long tail in her humanoid form, while Elm, the retainer to Embla, can transform into a flying bat Beast, and has bat ears in his humanoid form.

* AndThenWhat: When Letizia gloats to a starving and defeated Veronica that she'll take over the empire after Veronica is executed, Veronica asks her what she'll do afterwards with all that power, causing Letizia to falter and then snap that it's not something Veronica needs to know about it.

* CallBack: The events of Book III is referenced a lot in Chapter 5:
** Gustav's death by Alfonse's hand (via being MetaphoricallyTrue).
** Alfonse having a violent and psychopathic side (if only for an act), not unlike his AlternateSelf "Líf".
** Alfonse having a BadassBoast toward Letizia that she cannot harm him and he will kill her, like with his one against Hel.
