* ButtMonkey: Meg throughout. She's given no role in Lois' campaign group - with Brian telling her she's there just for the illusion of having a purpose in the
group - her attempts to help out via door-to-door campaign premotor and polls around Quahog are shut down (the former having the door slamed on her often and the later being almost ignored), and is even mistaken for a dog in the radio station and kicked out!

Added DiffLines:

* BaitAndSwitch: When going into a radio station, Brian worries about being identified as a dog and being kicked out, which almost happens... however the security guard instead of reaching for him reaches for [[ButtMonkey Meg]] instead and allows Brian to go through to his surprise.

Added DiffLines:

* {{Foreshadowing}}: Peter's comment in "Do and Die" about the Beer Bar Buddies needing to find more members foreshadows the subplot of "Neighbor Pains" where they try to find a fourth member.
* HarsherInHindsight: InUniverse example. When Buddy Cianci gets arrested for being charged with racketeering while sober, Chris mentions that it makes his middle school's name, Buddy Cianci Junior High, and the reason why Principal Sloan named the school that age poorly, with a CutawayGag showing a presentation that had Principal Sloan say that he named the middle school after Buddy Cianci because [[TemptingFate he was such a great person and would never betray them]].
* IdiotHoudini: Peter wrecks a bunch of cars and buildings and killed a bunch of people, while he was drunk driving. Yet he doesn't go to prison because Quahog law says that "inebriated felonies" are not illegal, since you can't blame someone for doing something bad, while intoxicated.
** However, this is [[SubvertedTrope subverted]] around the end, as the next time Peter goes on another one of his drunken crime sprees after Adam West becomes mayor, "Batman" shows up and kicks his ass.

Added DiffLines:

* OriginsEpisode: Serves as one for Mayor Adam West and how he got his job as mayor. Compared to usual examples, it's not told in a flashback.

Added DiffLines:

* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: Horace allowing the Beer Bar Buddies to take their beers to go, as there's no law saying that they can't do that, unknowingly leading to The Beer Bar Buddies drinking while driving and getting into tons of trouble.

-->'''Peter''': Damn, [[{{Foreshadowing}} we really need to start finding more members]].

** The first CutawayGag also gives a small one for Cleveland Jr.. Showcasing him as a troublemaker who likes to [[TheGadfly prank and troll people for fun]].
** Adam West's first scene is hi
* FantasySequence: Stewie where he imagines being the mayor of a now destroyed Quahog, with the Griffins being used as his slaves. Complete with whipping them when they fall out of line.
* ForegoneConclusion: Considering you already know the show, it's no surprise that Adam West wins against Lois.
* MajorInjuryUnderreaction: Adam West falls from a helicopter to smack on the roof of Town Hall and crash on the wooden podium after failing to grab the rope to swing down to the podium, but recovers quickly.
