* {{Bowdlerise}}: While the show does get away with averting NeverSayDie and freely references death, this episode in particular was renamed to remove the word "Massacre."

Added DiffLines:

* NeverTrustATitle: Seemingly acknowledged by Disney, as this episode never ''had'' any actual massacre at all and was later given the ''much'' more accurate title of "The Beagle Birthday Breakout!"

Got rid of a red link due to a miscited trope

* ImmediatelyProvenWrong: When Webby and Lena are found out at the party, Bigtime reminds the other Beagle Boys that Ma Beagle said not to meddle with her or Scrooge's nephews after they caused her so much trouble. Ma Beagle then notices Webby and commands her kids to bring her over to her to get revenge.

* HostageHandlerHuddle: Zigzagged; after the Beagle Boys sucessfully capture Lena, Webby, and the triplets, they have no trouble deciding to hand them over to Ma Beagle for her birthday gift and as an early Mother's Day gift. The trouble starts when Lena slyly asks which group will be the ones to take credit for capturing them, even adding that they could share the credit. Each group suggests themselves and a huge fight over who's handing them over to Ma ensues. This gives Webby enough time to get herself out of her bindings and free Lena and the boys so they can escape.

Added DiffLines:

* AbusiveParent: This episode makes it clear Ma Beagle emotionally manipulates her kids and will not celebrate their birthdays if they displease her. The fact her boys are so desperate for her respect they fight each other to give the captured kids over to her, shows the scars inflicted by her.

recant means one changes a sworn oath or testimony. Retracts means to take back.

* FluffyTheTerrible: Huey thinks the Tumblebums sound adorable... then he recants the statement when he sees that they're a MonsterClown trio that can give [[Literature/{{It}} Pennywise]] a run for its money.
