* ChewOutFakeOut: Scrooge delivers one of these. When he asks Dewey about his absence from the board room, Louie mentions he's [[BlatantLies going to get a new notebook, as he'd filled the previous one taking notes]]. Scrooge replies that he can take all he likes in a tone that implies he's calling Louie out on his BS, before immediately directing his ire at the board's parsimonious ways. He then in a much more sincere tone advises Louie to use both sides of each page and write small.

* BuildingOfAdventure: A huge contrast to its portrayal as a giant piggy bank in the 1987 series. As in the Don Rosa comics, it now has 57 floors (which visually doesn't come off, and seems to be a case of BiggerOnTheInside). In addition to the giant space with the coins, there's an underground laboratory for Gyro, and a huge library full of archives, and as Scrooge notes with some amount of pride and affection, it's full of lunatics like Gyro Gearloose and Miss Quackfaster.

In the meantime, Dewey and Webby encounter Emily Quackfaster, the insane librarian of the Archives. As Dewey is a family member of Scrooge, Quackfaster allows him and Webby to enter the Archives, but she tells them that they must face the Trials of the Archives - which mostly consist of sorting books. When Dewey, eventually, refuses, she draws a sword and chases the two children around the library. Dewey throws books at her in self-defense, which she puts back to their place - the last one being "[[MythologyGag The Life and Times of Della Duck]]", which is nearly empty. But, as the last book is put to its place, it opens the door to a secret room, where Scrooge hid all the evidence regarding Della Duck. Dewey and Webby learn that Della took something called "The Spear of Selene" against the will of Scrooge. The two decide to not tell Huey and Louie until they know more.

building. Gyro manages to stop the rampaging robot, but during the chase the number one dime falls among the giant pool of coins in the Money Bin, and Louie has to dig it out.

After Louie returns the dime to its pillow, Scrooge reveals that it was just a decoy, as he carried the real "number-one dime" on a necklace in his neck. He gives the decoy dime to Louie as a reward for his hard work during the day, which Louie cherishes... only to get thirsty and throw it in the vending machine again.

Louie accidentally loses Scrooge's "number-one dime" and turns to Gyro Gearloose to help him get it back. Meanwhile, Dewey and Webby go to the [=McDuck=] Archives to look for information about Della.

to:

Scrooge [=McDuck=] gets fed up with Louie's laziness and decides to teach him a lesson about the importance of hard work by taking him to the Money Bin. In the meantime, Dewey sneaks into Webby's room to find out information about his mother, but Webby catches him red-handed and tells him that she knows nothing about Della Duck either, because Scrooge hid all evidence about her. The two tag along with Louie accidentally loses and Scrooge so that they can look for information about Della in the [=McDuck=] Archives.

At the Money Bin, Scrooge's meeting with his board of financial advisors is interrupted by Gyro Gearloose, who presents them his latest invention, a small multi-purpose robot named Little Bulb. Louie is enthusiastic about the idea of a robot assistant that works instead of him, but the Board turns down Gyro, telling him that all of his previous inventions have turned evil.

Louie, bored of the meeting, goes out to buy a drink from a vending machine, only to learn that the drink costs $1.10. To find the 10 cents he is missing from the price, he takes a dime that is exhibited on a velvet pillow in the Money Bin, only to learn that it was
Scrooge's "number-one dime" dime", the first money he earned when he worked as a shoe-shine boy in Scotland.

* FatalFlaw: Louie's laziness, combined with DidntThinkThisThrough and not paying attention to Scrooge. He gets pulled to the Money Bin because he makes the mistake of being openly slovenly and wasteful in front of Scrooge, whom he knows is a penny pincher. Then later on he accidentally uses what he thinks is an emergency dime, he spends the entire episode trying to get it back. Scrooge was about to tell him the dime's importance before the Money Bin distracted him. He doesn't really get better by the end, though he seems to have learned to listen to Scrooge. Furthermore, if he'd searched for the Dime himself rather than making Little Bulb do it, most of the resulting chaos would have been avoided.
