* {{Bathos}}: As Marcille goes slightly mad while dispelling the Baby Dragons, Senshi's recently prepared Dragon Hams roll into the big puddle of blood.

* BloodMagic: Using the blood from the Dragon's carcass, the Mad Mage creates Baby Dragons to attack the Touden Party. Later he uses the blood to transform Falin into a proper monster.
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: Because she was reborn with dragon blood, Falin is forced to obey the Mad Mage who brought the Red Dragon to life.

* LaughingMad: Marcille does this while neutralizing the Baby Dragons that the Mad Mage summons.
* LivingMacguffin: The Mad Mage is hoping to find King Delgal and created the Red Dragon to help him find his former master.

* NoNonsenseNemesis: The Mad Mage proves to be a powerful foe who doesn't waste time with his enemies. His first instinct was to summon miniature dragons to attack the Touden Party, but after realizing that one of them could counter his spells, he resorts to having them swallowed in the ground and sent to a trap room to be killed.

* MakerOfMonsters: Leed explains that the Mad Mage created the Red Dragon along with various other monsters to protect his dungeon system.

* NiceJobBreakingItHero: Leed tells Chilchuck that because the Mad Mage is the ruler of the dungeon and many of its monsters, Laios' party killing the Red Dragon has pissed him off. Her brother told the tribe to avoid the dragon at all cost to avoid incurring the Mad Mage's wrath.

* WarriorTherapist: Leed and Chilchuck don't see eye-to-eye initially. She praises Laios' risky method to kill the Red Dragon as courageous, while Chilchuck sees the party's insistence on rescuing Falin as idiocy. At first she thinks of Chilchuck as a coward, but as he tells the story of their journey, she realizes that he just doesn't want his friends to die and advises him to tell them that himself.

Falin awakes in the middle of the night, now under the control of the Mad Mage. The party goes to find her and confront the mage, but are soundly defeated and nearly crushed, escaping at the last minute with the help of some ghosts.

* KnowWhenToFoldThem: Chilchuck realizes how in over their heads the party is are now that the Mad Mage is aware of them and worries that Laios and Marcille will immediately search for Falin again despite their condition. Leed initially takes him as a coward, but when she realizes the depths of his concern, she instead encourages him to be straight about not wanting anyone to die.

* NoBodyLeftBehind: The dragon's corpse is gone by the time Chilchuck and Leed past by.
* TheReveal: Leed tells Chilchuck that the reason why the town's ghosts haven't attacked them is because they still hold onto their sanity.

* DoubleMeaningTitle: "Good Medicine" refers to the medicine the orcs prepare to help Laios and Marcille, but it also refers to the idiom "good medicine can taste bitter and honest advice can sound unpleasant," referring to Chilchuck's difficulties in expressing his honest feelings about why he doesn't want the others to pursue Falin.

* WarriorTherapist: Leed technically serves as this as she has Chilchuck vent his frustrations about the new change of events long with getting him to express his true feelings to Laios and Marcille.

* CallBack: Thanks to their encounter with Orc Chief Zon, this relationship prevents his sister Leed from killing them on the spot. Instead having them recover while learning about the Red Dragon's death and the appearance of the Mad Mage.

* WhatTheHellHero: Leed calls out Chilchuck cowardice for wanting to lie to his friends to return to the surface, instead of the being honest about his fears.

* HappyEndingOverride: Falin is brought back to life but, being infused with dragon blood from Marcille's spell, she is now under the control of the Mad Mage.
