* FieldPowerEffect: Much like Kryptonians under a yellow sun, the atmosphere of Zurr-En-Arrh causes humans from Earth to gain Superman-like powers. It unfortunately has a similar effect on quartz making it poisonous to earthlings.

Added DiffLines:

* PowerHigh: Batman lets the powers he's experiencing go to his head and he gets careless.

* LargeHam: Compared to his usual Luthor voice, Creator/ClancyBrown puts a lot of emotion into his portrayal of Rothul.

The cold open: Batman and the Metal Men fight Kanjar Ro.

The main story: While chasing a group of space thieves, Batman crash-lands on an alien planet. Meeting that planet's local hero, another Batman, he finds that exposure to its atmosphere grants him powers beyond those of mortal Zur-En-Arrhians, and starts a new battle for truth, justice and the Zur-En-Arrh way!

* AwesomenessByAnalysis: Rothul is able to figure out how Batman's newly acquired powers work and how to shut them down simply by working out which planet he's likely to come from, and from there the chemical compositions needed.

* {{Expy}}: Zurr-En-Arrh is full of them. Tiano, the civilian identity of its Batman is basically the Clark Kent of Zurr-En-Arrh's version of The Daily Planet: The Solar Cycle Globe. His co-worker Vilsi Vaylar is basically his Lois Lane, albeit with a name similar to Vicki Vale, his butler Alpha Red is basically a robot version of Alfred Pennyworth, Chancellor Gorzon is its Commissioner Gordon, and Xel Rothul is basically the planet's Lex Luthor (in fact his name is an SdrawkcabEman of "Lex Luthor"). Why even the mugger who appears when the two Batman first meet, is basically its version of Joe Chill right to the point that it was mugging a family of a mom, dad, and a young boy in an alley who asks for the mom's "shoulder ring" (instead of the iconic pearl necklace Martha Wayne wore) and was about to make the young boy an orphan until our Batman showed up to stop him. All this taking place in a city called "Gothtropolis".
* ShoutOut: Green Arrow magically flying around is a reference to Peter Pan.

to:

* CardboardPrison: The minute Rothul gets bored of prison, he summons a giant robot to break him out. It does so effortlessly.
* DistressedDamsel: Vilsi gets grabbed by Rothul's robots. Judging by his comment earlier on, this is a common occurrence of her GoingForTheBigScoop.
-->'''Rothul:''' Ah, Miss Vaylar. Always in the wrong place at the right time.

All this taking place in a city called "Gothtropolis".
* KryptoniteFactor: Quartz, a harmless rock on Earth, becomes pure poison to humans in Zur-En-Arrh's atmosphere, shutting down any powers they might have and in large doses causing debilitating pain.
* MythologyGag:
** The criminals Bats and Green Arrow are chasing have stolen the Emerald Eye of Ekron, power-source of the ''Legion of Super-Heroes'' enemy the Emerald Empress.
** "Look, up in the sky! It's an air-car! It's a zeta-bird! No, it's Batman!"
* NegativeSpaceWedgie: What transports Batman to Zur-En-Arrh, a deflected shot mixing with the energies of the Bat-Ship.
* ShoutOut: Green Arrow magically flying around is a reference to Peter Pan.Pan.
* UnwantedAssistance: At the end of the cold open, Batman's reaction makes it clear he'd rather not team up with Doc Magnus again.
* WeAreNotGoingThroughThatAgain: At the end of the episode, Green Arrow arrives on Zur-En-Arrh and discovers he has superpowers. The two Batmen exchange a look and gas him with quartz before he can do any harm.

* BerserkButton: Kanjar Ro is not exactly known for his patience and his short temper towards Doc Magnus for asking about Signus 7 having any moons shows.

* CompositeCharacter: Alpha Red is one of Alfred Pennyworth, a robot version of him if you will.
