Despite not having been subjected to a life of violence like Vi has, he proves capable of keeping up with her and uses his weapon's multiple functions to cover his deficiencies in hand-to-hand combat.

* ShipTease: Caitlyn's mother acting like she's trying to smuggle some rough trade through her bedroom window, Vi and Caitlyn lying on her bed, and the "oil and water" speech by Vi on why they can't be together which doesn't ''quite'' sound like she's refering to their alliance to take Silco down.

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome: Jayce has never been in a fight before now, and moreover is using an extremely powerful experimental weapon in combat to make up for his lack of experience. Despite proving that he can keep up with Vi's raw skill in a pitched brawl, the chaotic situation means that he's not fully capable of controlling his weapon with as much precision as Vi uses her {{Power Fist}}s, and accordingly one of his wayward attacks aimed to take out a speeding Chemtank [[AccidentalMurder accidentally hits a child worker in the room]] and [[DeathOfAChild kills him]], something that deeply disturbs Jayce as he witnesses firsthand the destructive potential of his creations, even under his supervision.

* ShipTease: From Caitlyn's mother acting like she's trying to smuggle some rough trade through her bedroom window, to the "oil and water" speech by Vi on why they can't be together, which doesn't ''quite'' sound like she's refering to their alliance to take Silco down.
