Replacing giant summaries with synopsis from the main Recap page.

It's winter again.

Henk comes over to Alfred's house with a chessboard when he's reading, and but before they'll stsrt playing, Henk warms himself in front of the fireplace.

In Polderstadt, a police car drives to a mansion where there has been a break-in. It's the third similiar case and inspector Sherlock suspects and there's one criminal behind all of the burglaries. The mansion's owner tells them he was on a three week vacation with his family, and noticed the broken safe when he returned to Polderstadt early to take care of business. His wife's jewels have been taken, but all of his papers are still there. One of the cops finds footprints and alerts Sherlock, who decides that they belong to a cat despite the fact that they look nothing like Krabnagel's footsprints in earlier episodes and don't have enough toes.

Krabnagel is wandering the streets hungry like always, and comes to a restaurant window where sees Dolf eating fish and Hannes and Wannes sitting around. Dolf tells them to guess what he's thinking about, but both bring up food they have no money for, and Dolf eventually agrees to pay as long as it's something cheap. Wannes thanks him and summons a waiter, while Hannes asks if Dolf's "business" is doing well. Dolf concludes that he has money, but it's not enough and he wants more. Dolf asks them to guess his thoughts again, but Hannes is still thinking about food and Dolf yells at him, starling him and Wannes. Wannes suggests that Dolf is thinking about something more exciting, which he admits. While Wannes is congratulating himself, Dolf tells them to keep guessing. Hannes is ''still'' thinking about food, but concludes that Dolf is propably thinking about what to do with his money. Dolf explains that he's thinking about becoming the president of Waterland, and Hannes and Wannes start laughing at him because Waterland is a monarchy. Dolf shocks them by whispering that king Radboud is dying, and prince Franz Ferdinand still doesn't want to be a king. Dolf believes that Franz will abdicate, and then there needs to be a democratic election, and Dolf will start campaigning as soon as possible and he needs their help. They stop talking when a waiter brings Hannes and Wannes their food. Dolf looks out of the window and freaks put when he sees inspector Sherlock, trying to hide his face. Sherlock asks them about Krabnagel's whereabouts, but none of the three have seen him around. Dolf, still wanting some kind of closure to the events of the episodes 4 and 5, urges Sherlock to arrest Krabnagel as quickly as possible, whatever the offense. Sherlock denies that Krabnagel is currently suspected of anything.

In Alfred's house, he and Henk start the game off chess, where Henk plays white and Alfred plays black. They talk about the jewel thief, and conclude that they're safe because they don't have anything valuable.

It's already evening and the police has another alarm somewhere. Krabnagel waits until it drives away and then crosses the street and sees Dolf playing pool with Hannes and Wannes in some kid of a bar. Dolf leaves early, telling them that he's going home and needs to do some "work". Hannes wonders what kind of work is done this late, and Wannes suggests it's a meeting. They resume the game, Hannes predicting that Dolf is so smart he could actually become a president. Krabnagel has been waiting around the corner and follows Dolf when he leaves the bar.

In Alfred's house, the chess game is stagnating because Henk is taking so much time to think about his moves. Alfred's getting drowsy and closes his eyes for a moment when he suddendly hears the white queen piece calling his name. The piece morphs itself a human woman's head and asks Alfred to take her out to see the world because she's bored of living on the board. When Henk makes a bad move Alfred snatches up the queen piece, shocking Henk. Alfred goes for a walk -sneaking the queen piece with him- and leaves Henk to think. When Alfred puts the queen on the ground, she turns herself into a woman's upper body, albeit still with a chess-piece bottom and no lower half at all. She manifests herself a red cloak and levitates higher, flying around the countryside with Alfred. Alfred lets go of her hand and tries to fly under his own power, but he plummets and White Queen has to catch him. They see Polderstadt and fly to Ollie's house on the church roof.

Ollie's playing cards with Pikkie, and they bow to the White Queen andinvite her in. White Queen tells them that playing card characters also live in their own world, and would propably like to visit the real world like her. She says that Alfred somehow helped her escape from her own world, and decides that since they've already seen Polderstadt from the air, she'd like to look around on ground level. While the other three's backs are turned, the weird sparkling of White Queen's crown drives Pikkie crazy and he jumps on her. Ollie and Alfred restrain Pikkie, but White Queen forgives Pikkie since she "knows how the magpies are".

Alfred and White Queen leave and continue flying around Polderstadt. Alfred's looking down when he notices Dolf breaking into a house through the balcony. Krabnagel is also there, still following Dolf. However, Alfred doesn't see Dolf clealry enough to recognize him and doesn't notice Krabnagel. They land in the yard to catch the burglar, while Krabnagel finally works out that Dolf is the jewel thief. He notices Alfred and White Queen landing, and stalks them and attacks while the're waiting for Dolf to come out. White Queen notices him and pushes Alfred out of the way and Alfred picks up a tree branch and fights Krabnagel, breaking the pavilion. White Queen surrenders to Krabnagel, letting him lunge at and bite her, turning back into a chess piece at the last moment, causing Krabnagel to chomp down emptily so hard that he breaks all his teeth. The ruckus wakes the house's owners who threaten to call the police, and when Alfred's explaining the burglary a woman in another roommcatches Dolf red-handed and he rushes out and runs away. When Alfred recognizes him, the house's owner thinks Alfred is Dolf's lookout. Krabnagel runs too when Alfred tries to explain himself. Alfred flees when the owner starts yelling, but comes back for the chess piece before escaping the property. He puts the chess piece back down in a distance, but White Queen doesn't turn back or respond to him. He then sees a police car passing by up on the road.

Alfred suddendly hears Henk's voice and wakes up in his chair. Suddendly he's back at the set-up before he felled Henk's queen, which Henk claims never happened. Alfred does it again, leaving Henk stuck into thinking phase. However, despite not being even drowsy anymore, Alfred hears the White Queen's voice thanking him for the adventure and sees the chess piece turn into her head. She asks Alfred out tomorrow and Alfred agrees. Henk hears Alfred agreeing, but nothing else. The game continues and Alfred wonders if everything was a dream, only to hear the sirens as a police car drives to the house where they had been a moment ago.

!! Tropes:
* AmbiguousSituation: Was this episode a dream? Was it real? Or was it some kind of a blend between dream and reality? The burglary really happened, and Krabnagel told the police that he saw Alfred with a white chess queen, not specifying whether the queen was humanoid or just a piece.
* BadGuysPlayPool: Dolf is shown playing pool with Hannes and Wannes. He has been an antagonist since the beginning, but now he's an actual criminal.
* BluntNo: White Queen's response when Ollie asks her if the playing card royals aren't hapoy in their own world.
* DoesThisRemindYouOfAnything: In the finnish dub, at least:
---> '''Alfred:''' It's Krabnagel, always chasing children!
* CallBack: When Sherlock asks about Krabnagel, Dolf refers to the events of episodes 4 and 5.
* ShoutOut: Inspector Sherlock's name.
* DogBreedStereotype: Inspector Sherlock is some kind of a bloodhound and works for the police.
* EasilyForgiven: White Queen pays no mind to being tackled by Pikkie since magpies obviously can't control themselves.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: King Radboud doesn't appear in person and is never even mentioned again, but there's never any indication as to ''why'' he died. Since people are predicting it, illness is likely a factor.
* AbsoluteCleavage: When the White Queen turns into a woman's upper body. Alfred gets flustered and blushes.
* ThievingMagpie: Second time it hapoens to Pikkie. Though the crown could be somehow supernatural since it emits light in near-complete darkness.
* WeirdnessCensor: Ollie and Pikkie don't remark on and aren't bothered by being visited by a living, flying chess piece who looks like a chalk-white woman without a lower half and whom Alfred introduces as a chess piece. Krabnagel also sees them, in flight and then up close, and is only surprised that there's a "little girl" in the random yard, though he does initially wonder ''what'' exactly White Queen is.
* MindControlEyes: Pikkie gets them again when he notices White Queen's crown sparkling with a weird light.
