* In ''{{Tsukihime}}'''s side-story game, ''Kagetsu Tohya'', Shiki occasionally refers to the haunted house his class did last year, in which he and his friend were responsible for ''something'' that resulted in their student government making an amendment that strictly prohibits tea kettle monsters, mushroom monsters, and any pot that uses the aforementioned things. The specifics are left up to the imagination.

* In a recent chapter, Renji recognizes a motorcycle engine because fellow Vice-Captain Shuuhei Hisagi brought a bike over from the world of the living and wreaked havoc. Especially intriguing since Shuuhei is generally portrayed as one of the [[{{Only Sane Employee}} less crazy]] Shinigami.

** As best I recall, what he actually says is "You are the second person to see it," the first presumably being Byakuya himself.

* In {{Bleach}}, Byakuya tells Ichigo that he only uses his senkei form of his bankai on people he has sworn to kill with his own hands, and that Ichigo is the second person he has used it on. Who was the first target of senkei or why is never explained.

* The ''[[{{Anime/Ptitlei015gc004kw4}} Pokémon]]'' anime's LovableSexManiac Brock, during the Orange Islands [[{{Filler}} sub-arc]], seems to legitimately settle down with the Island's female Pokémon Professor, actually leaving the group for a while to pursue the relationship. When he returns, it's clear that something happened to turn the relationship sour, but he refuses to elaborate, instead going into a deep, brooding, BlueWithShock depression whenever anyone even mentions the relationship or the Professor's name.

* In ''LuckyStar'' there are several scenes that begin with one character finishing a conversation talking about how something stinks. It's a bit of a running gag, but after seeing it mentioned two or three times it makes you wonder what smells so bad.

* Played with in the ''CromartieHighSchool'' anime: the rather upstanding Kamiyama refused to explain exactly why in the hell he's in a school full of {{delinquents}}. However, he tells the audience several times that if they want to know they should read the manga (in which it actually ''is'' explained).

** Ash even did that later in the episode when Misty mentions Gary's name.

** Allen once recalls an incident involving his mentor Cross Marian's stash of alcohol-filled chocolates. What happened after he ate them is never explained explicitly, but the incident pissed Cross off enough that he punished Allen big-time and forced him to promise to never touch a drop of booze again. In the "Kuro no Bansankai" Special Drama CD, however, we find out how Allen behaves when drunk: he [[spoiler: gets VERY vicious and destructive, and when it wears off, can't even remember he was the one who caused all the massive property damage.]] As a result, Lavi is able to take a very, very good guess as to why Cross banned him from ever touching alcohol again.

* ''CodeGeass R2'' has this exchange:

** It's possibly a reference to a Mai-Hime incident where Mai, Natsuki and Mikoto were stranded without a ride and Natsuki had to make a sexy pose to hitch hike, only to have the student council show up (with Shizuru being in the front seat), much to her embarassment.

* The fight Dadan and Ace vs Bluejam in the manga of OnePiece, given the setting this noodle incident may be as well a OffscreenMomentOfAwesome

* In CodeGeass, engineers Rakshata and Lloyd apparently have a past together that resulted in Rakshata calling Lloyd the "Earl of Pudding." No explanation exists in the show about how that nickname came about (other than Lloyd being an Earl), nor is there much more than hinting about what their past together entailed.

** Also, during Shinra's -first official?- date with Celty he threathened Izaya, [[spoiler: who had been stabbed and was bored at the hospital]] if he kept interrupting his date.

* the fight Dadan and Ace vs Bluejam in the manga of OnePiece, given the setting this noodle incident may be aswell a MissedMomentOfAwesome

* DragonBallZ has a rare inversion of the trope: Maron visiting Master Roshi's place due to wanting to reunite with Krillin while the Z-fighters were going to fight against the Androids, as well as eventually leaving with some boyfriends due to boredom was shown on-screen. However, Master Roshi tells Oolong and Chiaotzu to keep the fact that she visited Master Roshi's house a secret from Krillin due to wanting Krillin to get over his breakup with Maron. It could count also as CanonDiscontinuity, because these events were filler.

** She never wore pants to begin with. She wore a bikini due to the heat. When she fought Erza, she just took a T-shirt again, making it seem she wore no pants if you haven't noticed her wearing a bikini.

*** The last one is a special mention because [[ManipulativeBastard Izaya]] is the type of person who would ignore a threat like that. However, this threat in particular shuts him up.
