Deleted examples that are not written to sound like they scared the troper(s) posting them. The "fourth trial" example sounds more like Squick or Nausea Fuel, which are different concepts from Nightmare Fuel. The "planned but stopped trials" example doesn't qualify because Nightmare Fuel is only for things that actually happened.

* Somebody took Eleanor hostage after she got eliminated. (S)he has told Jimmy, and is giving him the chance to save Eleanor. If he tells anyone, Eleanor dies, and he has until the finale to prevent Eleanor from drowning. Whoever has Eleanor is giving Jimmy clues whenever he passes a trial based on one of the seven deadly sins. In the first trial, the Trial of Sloth, Jimmy must successfully ride a sled down the slope of the thousand foot cliff within four minutes in the middle of the night during a heavy rainstorm. He breaks two ribs in the process. [[SeriousBusiness This is NOT]] PlayedForLaughs.
** The second trial involves him burning various family heirlooms with Sasha's cigarettes, which were stolen from him prior. However, Jimmy accidentally set fire to the Mess Hall on Wawanakwa, and barely made it out alive. He is soon found out by Jennifer...
** The fourth trial involved eating a human being, who was recently killed. Both Jimmy and Jennifer were both barfing by the end of the trial.
** The fifth, sixth, and seventh trials were planned, but Rheneas put a stop to that. The fifth Trial would had Jimmy replace Kim's pills with the same serum, which would have turned her into something insane. The sixth trial would have involved him breaking the legs of some of the contestants. And the seventh trial would have had Jimmy kill Jennifer, more or less the only family he has left.
* Chris and Chef find a severed human arm in the Wolf Zone on Anatat Island, in which the decapitation was ''recent''...

The Kasimar example might be Fridge Horror, but that's not the same as Nightmare Fuel. The torture example is misuse, because context does matter. A dark scene is not Nightmare Fuel in an of itself, so more detail is required.

* Winnie's 'tortures' in the SAW challenge may seem somewhat funny, but taken out of context they become a lot more horrific and seem like real torture.
* Tabitha's Texts from an anonymous source (in fact, her parents) counting down how many days she has left...

* Kasimar in general is this. And to make matters worse his gang is implied to still be out there.
* The scene with a Red Fang member and Madeline in the first Kasimar's Quest. It definitely shows this side plot wastes no time in going into some very dark places. The entire chapter is one of the darkest in Letterz Starz, but that scene stands out.

Nightmare Fuel examples are not exempt from context rules. Deleted examples that are not written to sound like they scared/disturbed the troper posting the example. Added policy notice for editors.

%%
%%
%% Nightmare Fuel is for things that scared/disturbed THE TROPER POSTING THE EXAMPLE, and continued to do so after said
%% troper finished consuming the work. Nightmare Fuel examples cannot be subverted, because the subversion automatically
%% disqualifies the example. Phobia objects do not qualify.
%%
%% Normal context rules apply, so examples must explain why the troper posting the example found the scene scary or
%% disturbing. Adding dubious examples in a misguided attempt to make a work seem darker and edgier than it is only
%% makes the troper community look easily frightened.

* Zita's fear challenge, which involved going into a burning building.
* Uzuri's scary doll.
* Barney falling and breaking his leg.
* Nakia's plan to cripple Spider with a pipe.
* Mable getting broken glass stuck in her leg from Kasimar sabotaging the pinball machine.
* Kasimar murdering one of Eleanor's ferrets.
* Uzuri and Yessica trapped in the burning mess hall.
* Tabitha's parents, who have an extreme hatred for people they don't consider perfect...which is practically everyone.

* The hate note Kim writes for Sasha features among other things, her being brutally slaughtered.

* In episode 10 of Letterama, Kasimar was going to do ''[[AttemptedRape something]]'' to Tabitha had Rheneas not showed up at the last minute.

The Nightmare Fuel page is for post-viewing discussion, so spoiler tagging defeats its purpose. Removed Natter and misuse of the Nightmare Fuel concept. A Nightmare Fuel example is not valid if the troper writing it was not personally scared.
