'''Spoilers below, and [[Administrivia/SpoilersOff turned off by policy]]:'''

* The [[NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast Phantom Slasher]] itself. It's a [[SinisterSilhouettes pitch black]], silent figure, and [[ParanoiaFuel might appear anywhere out of blue]], only to murder someone without uttering a word. And worst of all, it can't be [[FightingAShadow killed with conventional means]]. [[spoiler:Even worse, the very reason it exists is [[VillainProtagonist Rhue]] wielding a shadow sword]].
* The way how Shadow Swords work, particularly [[spoiler:the ability to absorb multiple auras, [[GrandTheftMe along with personalities and memories of their victims]]! "Rhue" known for the whole game isn't Rhue actually, as it's revealed in the ending. His self before slaying Jeruh was that of Midian, and it's implied he absorbed Kava's aura long time before the game starts. This is also the possible reason why Rhue doesn't recognize his reflection in every mirror he comes across.]]

Despite being an RPG with 16 bit graphics, the series has a lot of gore.
* In episode 2, The Barrucha, and travelling through the cave seeing the people you once met at a town not so long ago brutally decapitated by it.
** The minigame itself is scary, especially when the [[JumpScare Barrucha flies out of nowhere and Rhue's head is torn off]], thankfully, the mini-game is skippable.
