** The symbiote itself is rather creepy. In other adaptations of the comic book, it has a voice. In [[WesternAnimation/TheSpectacularSpiderman some cases]] this made it more horrifying, while in [[Film/Venom2018 others]] it made it more awesome. ''This'' iteration of lacks a voice, but [[ItCanThink it still clearly has intelligence]]. It actively follows Peter to his apartment, taking residence there until he starts bonding to him. Heck, Peter doesn't even know of the symbiote's existence until he gets the black suit. Having an alien BlobMonster hide in your home; not knowing it's there until it's already attached itself to you is prime ParanoiaFuel.

* Venom in this game is much, '''MUCH''' more threatening here than in the film, inheriting traits from his comics portrayal such as the OverlyLongTongue and EvilIsBigger physique, while making Creator/TopherGrace sound genuinely ''imposing'' with a GutturalGrowler filter. Unlike in the film where he simply convinces Sandman to join him, here he outright ''blackmails'' Sandman into a VillainTeamUp by [[WouldHurtAChild kidnapping his terminally ill daughter Penny]], with zero remorse, more so [[BlackComedy cracking jokes about it]]. His dialogue before the final boss truly sums up the type of bastard Venom seriously is:

For all his corrupt beliefs, Norman was still tormented by his SplitPersonality. For all his ego-driven scheming, Otto was influenced by grief and the [=AI=] in his tentacles, and overcame this to [[HeroicSacrifice sacrifice himself]]. The scariest part about this Venom is that ''he is not tragic.'' He's not misguided, nor corrupted. He is the end result of taking some ineffectual womanizing hack, and making him worse by getting him DrunkWithPower. This Venom is one of the few incarnations who is genuinely and undisputably '''''evil''''', a fact that he outright admits to relish. Tie-in material such as ''The Black'' further displays his malice, attempting to murder a group of people out of petty rage before settling on killing intervening cops.

[[ItsAllAboutMe Eddie is so utterly hellbent on killing Peter for his own satisfaction that he sees Harry as some useless fodder obstacle that got in the way.]] He's '''[[MoralEventHorizon so]]''' morally bankrupt at this point that this immediately causes an enraged Peter to [[HeroicSecondWind arm himself with steel beams and beat the high holy hell out of him as a result.]]

* The symbiote attaching itself to Peter as he lay asleep and defenseless.

The way this turned out is actually extremely macabre. The new Venom movies created this buddy relationship between the symbiote and its host. However, here we see an alien creature that took the form of Spider-Man’s suit and has taken over his body with whatever is left of him helplessly screaming inside of it. That’s disturbing as s**t.

* In the editor's cut, just before Peter humiliates Eddie at the Bugle, he is in his apartment, proceeding to open the suitcase containing the black suit. What comes after is shocking: the suit briefly ''moves'' on its own, reminding us that the alien symbiote is still sentient, even when bonded to the suit. Peter then stares at the suit, beginning to [[SlasherSmile smile eerily]] as the music playing gets louder to the point you'd think the symbiote was ''talking to Peter''.

** Sandman can control every single grain of sand in his body. A heap of sand can transform into a car-sized, rock-hard fist, and with that he slowly bashes Spider-Man to death as everyone watches.
