* Jared going off the rails after Richard insults Gwart. He even aims to kill Richard after it chasing him out of the house with a shotgun.
* The series finale presents a disturbingly plausible scenario of Pied Piper creating a technological apocalypse where it's shown that its hybrid AI has found a way to crack basic encryption by solving discrete logarithms in polynomial time, something currently beyond all known algorithms. If it can do this, then it can potentially destroy ''all'' encryption. Meaning all personal data, including that of electric grids, financial institutions, and even nuclear programs, will be rendered vulnerable to hackers. Even ''Gilfoyle'' is visibly terrified of the implications. Although the team manages to sabotage their own launch, the very end of the "Where are they now?" epilogue reveals that Richard has mislaid the USB with the original code.
* While the scene is mainly played for laughs, the epilogue implies that Jian Yang legitimately killed Erlich.
