*The sheer disdain Lucifer has for his subjects is terrifying when one considers his initial desire to give humanity free will. While he doesn't go out of his way to make their lives any more miserable, Lucifer notes to himself that he'd rather throw himself on his brother's nonexistent mercy than let Camila or her family anywhere near Hell or its inhabitants. No matter how hard he claims to try, he legitimately can't figure out why Charlie has such an altruistic view of Sinners. Constant exposure to the worst of humanity has absolutely destroyed Lucifer's ability to hope, to the point where he notes he'll lose it if he sees another story in the news of a gang massacre.
