* ''WesternAnimation/TheLEGOMovie'': Emmet Brickowski believes that everything is awesome and generally tries to be polite and friendly to everyone he meets. A major plot point of [[WesternAnimation/TheLEGOMovie2TheSecondPart the sequel]] is that everyone thinks he's ''too'' nice and not tough enough to fit in with a grittier society, but [[spoiler:they learn to accept him for who he is when his attempts to toughen up only cause problems]].

* Hiccup from the ''WesternAnimation/HowToTrainYourDragon'' franchise is a kind, brave, compassionate person. While his defining flaw may be his pride, it's not the usual "arrogant, prideful" example.

** Sulley from ''WesternAnimation/MonstersInc'' is a polite, soft spoken and caring person who is loyal to his friend Mike and quickly warms up to Boo. However, ''WesternAnimation/MonstersUniversity'' shows that he was quite a [[{{Jerkass}} jerk]] as a teenager.

%%** ''WesternAnimation/TheIncredibles'' has Mr. Incredible, Dash, Frozone and Tony Rydinger. Winston Deavor in the [[WesternAnimation/Incredibles2 sequel]] qualifies too.

* ''Franchise/KungFuPanda'': We have [[TheHero Po]], right off the bat. While clumsy and buffoonish, he has an [[AllLovingHero idealistic heart]] -- enough that he even [[spoiler:tries to spare the conqueror who committed genocide against his people in ''WesternAnimation/KungFuPanda'']].

* While they act creepy and vaguely threatening at first (not leaving the best first impression on Shaggy and Scooby), the girls at Miss Grimwood's in ''WesternAnimation/ScoobyDooAndTheGhoulSchool'' ultimately prove to be very nice. Special mention goes to Dracula's daughter Sibella, who is always supportive, polite and cheerful.

* Leonard Stecyk in ''Film/ThePaleKing''.

** ''Film/{{Guardians of the Galaxy|2014}}'' have three in the characters of Peter Quill aka Star Lord, Drax and Groot (especially as adult). Drax will make poor decisions regarding avenging his family but expresses great remorse when it comes back to bite him, [[BrutalHonesty but his honesty]] and LiteralMinded nature makes him more endearing when he expresses how much he cares for his friends. Star Lord’s inherently good nature actually becomes one of his "flaws" [[spoiler: as the death of his loved ones causes him [[BerserkButton lash out with hesitation]] as in his SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome regarding his [[YouKilledMyFather mother's death]] in ''Film/GuardiansOfTheGalaxyVol2'' and ruining him the HopeSpot in ''Film/AvengersInfinityWar'' when he learns Thanos has killed Gamora and lashes out at the worst possible moment]]. Groot is all around a good being, he is FriendToAllChildren and willingly sacrifice his life for his beloved friends. [[spoiler: Even as a sulky teen Groot didn’t hesitate for a moment cutting his own arm off to make a handle for Stormbreaker which would revive Thor]].

* ''Film/WomenTalking'': August is a sweet, gentle man who's the school teacher in the colony, serving as a foil to the unseen men who repeatedly raped the colony's women and girls (plus trans man Melvin). He helps them in their plans to leave, and apologizes immediately on inadvertently giving offense.

* ''WesternAnimation/KungFuPanda'': We have [[TheHero Po]], right off the bat. While clumsy and buffoonish, he has an [[AllLovingHero idealistic heart]] -- enough that he even [[spoiler:tries to spare the conqueror who committed genocide against his people]].

* ''WesternAnimation/{{The Hunchback of Notre Dame|Disney}}'' has Esmeralda. It's telling that when Quasimodo accidentally crashes into her tent while she was changing, her immediate response is to check Quasimodo for injuries.

* In Disney's AnimatedAdaptation of ''WesternAnimation/TheJungleBook'', Baloo gets the AdaptationalNiceGuy treatment: in stark contrast to the stern mentor from the original book, here he's a laid-back BigFun character.

* ''WesternAnimation/{{The Lion King|1994}}'': Pumbaa qualifies as one. He's very friendly and loyal. Of course, [[BewareTheNiceOnes it's not a good idea to call him a pig]]...

* Marge Gunderson in ''Fargo'' is kind, friendly and warm to all she meets. Unlike most examples, this actually helps her as her easygoing manner lets people trust her and helps her investigation.

* From the ''WesternAnimation/{{Madagascar}}'' movies we have Marty, Melman and Gloria, all of whom are loyal and kindhearted friends to Alex (who, by the way, is a JerkWithAHeartOfGold at his worst). Of the Penguins, Private is the nicest (one episode of ''WesternAnimation/ThePenguinsOfMadagascar'' has Julien, determined to become nicer, turn to him for advice because he's the nicest animal at the zoo), the chimpanzees Mason and Phil are polite chaps, and Maurice the aye-aye is a pretty friendly fellow loyal to his king, Julien. And the third movie gives us Stefano the sea lion, who is extremely friendly and cheerful.

** Mater from ''WesternAnimation/{{Cars}}'' is openly friendly and immediately becomes friends with Lightning the moment they first meet.

%%** Flik from ''WesternAnimation/ABugsLife'', in spades. Heimlich, Slim, and [[GentleGiant Dim]] qualify as well.

** ''Film/AntMan1'''s Scott Lang is a troubled FamilyMan whose willingly to do pretty much anything for his daughter and is presented as being very likable from the get go despite being a thief and ex-con. Hank Pym is also shown in this light which came as a surprise to those comics fans who considered him [[TheScrappy the worst Avenger]] for his [[DomesticAbuse abusive tendencies]]. But the movie version shows nothing but love for his wife Janet and his reasons for keeping his daughter Hope a FauxActionGirl are done out of [[OverprotectiveDad fatherly protection]] rather than neglect as she originally perceived.

* ''Film/WerewolvesWithin'': [[TheProtagonist Finn]] is possibly the nicest guy Beaverfield has ever known. He accepts a hand-crafted angel from Trisha, does his best to keep the townsfolk from turning on each other with a RousingSpeech (which, sadly, doesn't work), and defends his reasons for being nice to [[spoiler:Werewolf Cecily when she derides him for just how nice he is]].

* Ford Brody from ''Film/{{Godzilla 2014}}'', is a loving father and a spouse and very patient with his more-than-a-little crazy dad. The moment he hears Joe has been arrested in Japan he rushes to his side and tries to convince him to come home with him.

* ''WesternAnimation/TheLionKing'': Pumbaa qualifies as one. He's very friendly and loyal. Of course, [[BewareTheNiceOnes it's not a good idea to call him a pig]]...

** ''WesternAnimation/TurningRed'' has Mei, Miriam, Priya and Abby. Mei's a bit self-confident but otherwise very kind-hearted, friendly and optimistic while her friends are shown throughout the film to be supportive and encouraging of Mei as she learns to control her panda, and [[spoiler:even after the PlotMandatedFriendshipFailure, Miriam still takes care of Mei's Tamagotchi]].

* In ''WesternAnimation/TurningRed'', Jin sincerely loves his family regardless of their quirks, and is the only family member who encourages Mei to keep the red panda because it makes her happy instead of trying to force her to remove it.
