* The ''FanFic/FacingTheFutureSeries'' - a series of stories that fit the tone of ''WesternAnimation/DannyPhantom'' so well, it could be a continuation of the very cartoon.
* ''[[http://www.fanfiction.net/s/8116027/1/ Fantasy of Utter Ridiculousness]]'': a crossover between ''Videogame/{{Touhou}}'' and ''WesternAnimation/MegasXLR'', it's a rather short fic with about 28k words in seven chapters, counting the Alternate Ending, but it captures very well the [[RuleOfCool essence]] of both series. Imagine for a moment Coop in Gensokyo and then [[spoiler:[[CoolVsAwesome Megas fighting a giant Suika]]]]. And the credits are made in the spirit of ''WesternAnimation/MegasXLR''!
* ''FanFic/{{Horseshoes and Hand Grenades}}'' is a darker retelling of Fourze that brings in multiple Kamen Rider characters from prior series, but also uses characters from the show itself that also get involved in the madness. It also has multiple stories that expand more on Gentaro's past and his struggle in being evil and tells of how the world starts to fall apart over a single incident.
* An increasing amount of reviewers think that ''FanFic/HuntingTheUnicorn'' (a [[DeconstructionFic deconstructive]] ''Series/{{Glee}}'' fic influenced by ''Literature/TheLastUnicorn'') needs more love. Despite the writing style and [[CerebusRetcon interesting portrayal of Blaine]], ''Hunting the Unicorn'' has much less reviews than most fics of similar length.
* The Beetlejuice fanfic ''[[http://www.fanfiction.net/s/9059280/1/Life-Won-t-Wait Life Won't Wait]]''. It's brilliantly written and fits incredibly well with the cartoon universe. But since so many fans ship Beetlejuice and Lydia romantically, the story is ignored for strictly keeping their relationship that of a close friendship.
* ''WesternAnimation/ThePowerpuffGirls'' fanfiction ''FanFic/MoreThanHuman'' is a very good fan fic. It's smart, gripping, and there are a lot of action scenes considering how it's supposed to be a HighSchoolAU.
* [[http://www.fimfiction.net/story/5410/My-Little-Megas-XLR My Little Megas XLR]]. A perfect blend of Megas XLR and My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. It even has the omnipotent button.

* The ''Franchise/{{Pokemon}}'' fanfic ''FanFic/NoAntidote:'' One of the best fanfics I have ever read. It's definitely miles above anything that has come out of the official canon story wise.

* {{Fanfic/Polarity}}: A different take on Spider-Man B-villain the Shocker, aka Herman Schultz, and his attempts to survive during a zombie apocalypse. Overshadowed by ''Fanfic/TheShockerLegit'', this story (and its sequel "Transistor") is well-written, focuses on the bad guys in the Marvel Universe, and does it all without handing anyone the ''IdiotBall''.

* ''TheSacrificesArc'' an alternate universe of Literature/HarryPotter which presents different rules of magic, a powerful Harry, focus on minor characters of the series and try to show the point of view of anyone. Present on the internet but not detailed often.
* ''FanFic/SonOfApophis''. Quite possible better than most published stories--with the exception of the very first chapter. Not very well known at all.
* Fanfic/TheStoryOfTheLostCourier is a great Crossover between VideoGame/Fallout3 and VideoGame/FalloutNewVegas.
* ''Fanfic/SunshineAndFire'': a fanfiction of WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic and one of the best 'darker' stories out of the world while retaining all the charm and enjoyable nature.
* Fanfic/WhiteRain is one of the better ''Manga/{{Naruto}}'' [[ContinuationFic post-series stories]] out there. It starts on the opposite end of their world, a woman and her children making the journey to Konoha... and things happen.
* Chain123's fanfic ''[[http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3754187/1/ The Wolf Within]]'' is a great ''Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog'' fanfic that is unacceptably underrated for its quality. It's about Tails, the last survivor amongst the Freedom Fighters after Robotnik's latest attack, trying to change the future by traveling to the past in order to stop Robotnik before he kills all the Freedom Fighters. On his trip back to the past, he becomes a member of Lupe's wolf pack and from there the story goes on. This fanfic defently deserves more than it got; that it only has 60 reviews is just unacceptable as it deserves atleast 150 reviews. You can find more on why it's good on the fanfiction reviews on the "Fanfic Recs" section of ''Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog'' page but give it a try and read it.

* ''Fanfic/TheGreatDisneyAdventureSaga''. This fic has a great leading character, fun interactions with the disney canon, PiratesOfTheCarribean as a center stage, Pixar, and it doesn't follow canon unless directed to. While technically something of a self-insert fic, it's still funny, heartfelt, and sometimes even genuinely surprising. Please, enjoy, even as it continues to unfold.
* ''FanFic/HeartAndEye'', which is about [[Series/BuffyTheVampireSlayer Xander]] going to work for [[Series/{{Angel}} Wolfram and Hart]] [[AlternateUniverseFic after the events of Season 7]][[note]]Take place during Season Five of Series/{{Angel}}, btw.[[/note]]. Currently has 73 chapters, started up almost ''a year'' ago, and needs a boost in its Website/TVTropes page. Very good.

* ''FanFic/FindingDad'' is one of the few fanfics that does first-person POV well, and in a {{Shipping}} fic no less. The romance between Phineas and Isabella is not only sweet, but well-written.
* ''FanFic/TokimekiPokeLiveAndTwinbee'', a fun yet unique crossover that is also faithful to the respective Canons of the franchises involved! Hilda being a School Idol and Perfect Dream Project member while still being a Pokémon Trainer and Shizuku being a Pokémon Trainer while still being a School Idol who's also interested in Theatre and Shiori and Pastel are main characters alongside Hilda and Shizuku, need I say more?

* ''WebVideo/RWBYTheAbridgedSeries'' is great from the start. It has funny jokes, a good alternate take on the characters and fantastic voice acting. The only real criticism for the show is that Roman's voice actor had a microphone that made him sound a little off in the first episode, which has been fixed in episode two onward. It was really popular at first, going by the Website/YouTube viewing system, but it's lost a lot of viewers, presumably due to the long episode time making process, the parody being on the obscure side and not that many episodes of this writing. But it's a great parody overall and definitely worth checking out.

* ''Fanfic/ATwistedTale''. A pretty decent ''Literature/HarryPotter''-''Literature/{{Twilight}}'' crossover. There was a small period of about three chapters where the author got skimpy, but got longer. Really needs more love.

* ''Fanfic/{{Oblivion}},'' an in-progress multi-part ''Franchise/KingdomHearts'' [[AlternateUniverseFic AU fic]] taking the members of Organization XIII and putting them into the real world, in a fictional Northern California suburb (implied to be in [[UsefulNotes/SanFrancisco the Bay Area.]]) The story focuses on Tim Nemo (Demyx in all but name), whose father Ansem is trying to activate something called the "In-Between" in a secret underground lab. It's also very {{Troperiffic}} and very fun to read (with each "episode" divided into nine chapters, and a great deal of cliffhanger endings between chapters and episodes), not to mention much better than one would expect for Website/FanFictionDotNet - and yet it's only gotten two reviews so far. Four episodes have been completed ("[[http://www.fanfiction.net/s/8705510/1/Oblivion-Episode-1-The-New-Kid The New Kid,]]" "[[http://www.fanfiction.net/s/8721685/1/Oblivion-Episode-2-Both-Sides-of-the-Story Both Sides of the Story,]]" "[[http://www.fanfiction.net/s/8734351/1/Oblivion-Episode-3-Everybody-Hates-Windmills Everybody Hates Windmills,]]" and "[[http://www.fanfiction.net/s/8738096/1/Oblivion-Episode-4-Frozen-Pride Frozen Pride]]"), with a fifth story, "[[http://www.fanfiction.net/s/8755363/1/Oblivion-Episode-5-Shake-Rattle-and-Roll-Over-the-Edge Shake, Rattle, and Roll Over the Edge,]]" having two chapters completed.

* ''Fanfic/FateStayNightUltimateMaster''. Basically, [[WesternAnimation/Ben10 The Plumbers]] discover the murders and "gas leaks" that occurred during the [[LightNovel/FateZero Great Fuyuki Fire]]. Suspicious,they send Ben to Fuyuki to find out what's really going on and Ben ends up fighting [[AxCrazy Lancer]]. During the fight, Ben ends up gaining a servant of his own named Avenger [[spoiler: who's all but stated to be Joan of Arc]] due to the mana he has within him and ''someone'' manipulating the rules of the Holy Grail War to allow an eighth servant to be summoned. There's tons of great character interaction such as Ben and Illya (as it turns out, a lot of people know who Ben is, despite him being sent due to being less well known over there) and eventually, Ben and Shirou. There's a couple of stumbles such as in the first chapter, but a ton of ShownTheirWork as well (Ben having mana within him, which was mentioned in one episode of Alien Force and transforming into his ultimate forms by twisting and slapping his Ultimatrix symbol which occurred in Ultimate Cannonbolt's first appearance in the show). Unfortunately, the fic died on October 11, 2013 which is sad because we'll never find out things like what would occur if Ben and Shirou finally teamed up as well as what Gwen, Kevin, Grandpa Max and Julie would say when Ben came home with Avenger with him. Most importantly, we'll never find out who manipulated the rules to allow Avenger to be summoned in the first place (though given the whole PersonalityPower thing, [[spoiler: Joan of Arc was summoned due to being incredibly selfless in life. Perfect for the kid with ChronicHeroSyndrome)]].

She's an expert at taking cartoons like TheRaccoons and ''The Impossibles'' and making wonderful stories out of them, as well as (in the case of the Impossibles) giving the characters backstories that never appeared in the original cartoon. Be warned, though, some of the things she writes are MUCH DarkerAndEdgier than the original.

While some of the stories are less than great like Naruto's New Look (which even the author didn't like), the other stories are great with well-conceived characterizations, a healthy amount of mythology gags, and the stories never get real dirty like a fair chunk of crossdressing stories. But despite that the series isn't as well known compared to other fanfic series.
