The genesis of mcgillicutty

* The infamous Genesis of [=McGillicutty=] promo was cut on the August 31st, 2010 episode of NXT when [=Michael McGillicutty=] cut a promo after being eliminated from NXT and how we was going to be a future world champion which led to the end of the promo

* Apollo Crew's heel turn back in 2021 produced Apollo's fake Nigerian accent which many couldn't take seriously because of how silly it sounded. Apollo would eventually drop the gimmick when he returned to NXT in 2022

* The pregnancy angle between Kane and Wrestling/{{Lita}} led to the delivery room moment when Kane found out that Lita had miscarried. The angle was already not that impressive but getting to see Kane degenerate into a screaming pile of rage did give the angle a comedic spin. It also didn't help that Lita was sitting on the hospital bed with a look of, what can best be described as, stoic indifference instead of a mother who lost her child, though her reaction could be explained as being in shock, or asking herself, "How in the hell did I get talked into this?"

The GM had only previously communicated through a laptop operated by Wrestling/MichaelCole. For the interview, the RAW GM was being run through a voice changer. ::And then he still can't help but crack a smile during the line, as though he were a little kid on the playground who'd just learned a new swear word and wanted ''desperately'' to try it out. To be charitable, he was probably {{corpsing}} more than anything. Even more hilarious was the audience's reaction, which was a mix of ooh's and ah's, but you could tell that it was probably at least 70% sarcastic.

* The 02/03/21 [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dt43ZH2tkwc vignette]] for the debut of Mei Ying, leader of the Chinese heel faction Tian Sha. A Chinese princess who sought help from a [[OurDragonsAreDifferent dragon]] to overthrow her brother who killed their father, and now is possessed, or something, by the dragon and has to bring pain to everyone, not only sounds like something out of a Wuxia movie, but also seems like the kind of character you'd see on RAW or [=SmackDown=] not '''NXT''', which is praised for it's more realistic characters. [[note]] Dexter Lumis and possibly Wrestling/TheVelveteenDream being the primary exceptions. [[/note]]
* In summer 2021, Wrestling/BaronCorbin loses his role as "king" to Wrestling/ShinsukeNakamura, which begins a HumiliationConga that seems to be an attempt to earn him sympathy with the audience. However, it comes off as hilarious because all his problems are so comically over-the-top (somehow, no longer being king means he lost all his money, his car, he and his (non-existent) wife had to move in with her (non-existent) parents) like he's [[WesternAnimation/SpongebobSquarepants Squidward Tentacles]] all of a sudden, except, unlike Squidward [[UnintentionallyUnsympathetic fans actually believe Corbin deserves what happens to him]]. Also, even in {{Kayfabe}} the whole thing is filled with FridgeLogic [[note]] If Corbin is really poor, then that would be terrible optics for WWE, whose reputation as of late hasn't been great, and why does he keep appearing on WWE TV? [[/note]] and the fact that Corbin has XPacHeat means that he's still booed no matter how "pathetic" WWE tries to make him look.

* Wrestling/TheGreatKhali once won the World Heavyweight Championship. That's not Narm, though. The following night on [=SmackDown=], there was a big celebration in the ring for him, with many native Indian folk dancing, singing and celebrating with the big man. And there were a good number of shots of his face, in which he looked ''legitimately happy''. This still isn't Narm, though. The Narm came when Dave Batista stormed out to the ring, scared away all the dancers and attacked Khali. Nothing says "{{hero|Ball}}ic [[DesignatedHero face]]" like trashing another guy's victory celebration. [[MoralDissonance Batista's a jerk!]]

** Unfortunately, women very rarely are treated with respect by the fans during ROH events. Doesn't matter if they're faces, tweeners or heels. The sheer number of "You got herpes!" chants shouted by the crowd is [[MoralDissonance rather disturbing]].

* A lot of Wrestling/RomanReigns' mic work, mostly a period at the end of 2014 and throughout 2015 where Wrestling/VinceMcMahon was writing his promos for him, combined with Roman's apparent awkwardness when reading from a script. Highlights include his rambling and borderline incomprehensible "Jack and the Beanstalk" promo toward Wrestling/BigShow, his "Suffering Succotash" line against Wrestling/SethRollins, and his "tater tots" promo against Wrestling/{{Sheamus}}. The laughable attempts to play off the audience's [[XPacHeat utter loathing]] of Reigns is often this as well, or simply frustrating depending on the viewer. Most of these attempts to lie about the audience reception can be seen through by anyone who is not blind and/or deaf.

[[note]] Allegedly, this was because Vince figured, as the cousin of the Rock, Reigns could take stupid sounding stuff and make it sound hilarious. However, part of that was because Rock is very over the top with his delivery, while Roman isn't, being more ColdHam, so stuff sounds as stupid as it would with anyone besides the Rock saying it. * Any bit that gets put into ''Website/{{Botchamania}}'' becomes narm material by default.
* 90% of the chanting at wrestling events causes this effect. Heels will be cheered, faces will be booed, dramatic moments will be undercut, and supposedly comedic moments will be mocked even further.
* [[Wrestling/SidEudy Sid Vicious]] was supposed to be a towering menace, but on a ''live'' WWF PPV, Sid asked for a retake when he screwed up his promo, and Wrestling/JimRoss told him that they're live. And then there's the persistent rumor that he actually crapped his trunks during his ''Wrestling/WrestleMania 13'' match with Wrestling/TheUndertaker. Given the fact that Taker had to hoist Sid's rear end towards his own face several times during the climax of that match to execute the Tombstone Piledriver, this brings new meaning to the scowl he has on his face throughout the match. And every waking moment since.
-->'''Sid Vicious:''' [[Wrestling/KevinNash Nash]], you know and I know that you are only half the man that I am... and I have half the brain that you do!
* Just about any promo (''[[Memes/ProfessionalWrestling HUH?]]'') cut by Wrestling/ScottSteiner (''[[VerbalTic HUH?]]''), when he's supposed (''HUH?'') to be intimidating. (''HUH?'')
** "I'M HUNGRY!"
** "I've wrestled a lot of countries..."
** Not to mention [[http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5acti_scott-steiner-maths_sport the time he tried to do math]] and ended up claiming he had a 141.67% chance of victory. To be fair, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WFoC3TR5rzI&feature=BFp&list=FLETKfmcYt4QQ&index=44 this typography]] shows he was actually right, mathematically speaking. As one Website/YouTube commentator put it, however, "his 141.67% chance of winning didn't add up to squat".
** What about Wrestling/SamoaJoe? "[[YouAreFat HE'S FAT!!!!!]]"
** How about his claims of remembering the time when [[ArtisticLicenseHistory Pearl Harbor bombed the Germans?]]
** Or the time he declared "Vinnie Vidi Voochie."
** "You come out here to try and get the '''sympy''' of the people, but you don't get my '''sympy''' at all!"
* "It's still real to ME, dammit!!"
* Every time Wrestling/JohnLaurinaitis opens his mouth:
** He even botched his CatchPhrase: I am the Executive Vice President of Monday Night Raw.
** Don't make me take off my jacket!
** You're on team Wrestling/{{Teddy|Long}}... Johnny.
** PEOPLE POWER!
** We're nearing the 100th episode of Raw.
* Wrestling/{{CZW}} co-founder John Zandig will probably forever be best-known for [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SQ7_5MMboo4 this]] promo, which is chock full of narm, and which Botchamania made famous.
* Repeating spots is a no-no. It can completely drain the moment of any dramatic tension and exposes the underbelly of pro wrestling that no one should see. [[http://youtu.be/6afewwNhDmc?t=47s This clip]] exemplifies why. See the broken bits of table in the corner near [[Wrestling/TheDudleyBoys Bully Ray]]? They're there because [[SpecialEffectFailure that table broke]] when Wrestling/JeffHardy attempted to put him on it. Rather than roll with it, Jeff went '''all the way back to the entrance ramp''', picked up another table, and set it up. Then Bully ''laid himself down on it'' after taking a Twist of Fate in order to take a Swanton (dammit, they are going to do this spot regardless of the violations in logic required to make it work after the first attempt!). This became a hilarious farce--SuspensionOfDisbelief is totally gone, which is the ultimate enemy of every pro wrestling match.
* Any and all angles involving a pregnancy. There is no way to justify having a pregnant woman wrestle, nor is there any way that a respectful presentation of someone giving birth would make for compelling television on a wrestling program. Therefore, expect drawn-out "Who's The Father" storylines, awkward interview segments, {{convenient miscarriage}}s, and, in the worst case scenario, [[Wrestling/MaeYoung eighty-year old women]] giving birth to a hand.

The match ended with Omega retaining, he and his cronies handcuffing Moxley to the ring post to ensure he'll be trapped in the explosion, and Eddie Kingston running in to cover Moxley [[TakingTheBullet and supposedly protect him from the blast]]. When the timer reached 0 the fans were treated to...sparklers that looked like they were nicked from Gillberg's entrance, and less explosive pyro than the average Wrestling/{{Kane}} or Wrestling/CodyRhodes entrance. And yet Wrestling/JimRoss treated it like he just saw Mankind fall from the cell once again, while Kingston sold it as if an actual nuclear bomb had detonated in Daily's Place.
