* Slightly subverted in ''TheGraveyardBook'' with the Jacks of All Trades. Names such as Mr. Dandy and Mr. Nimble are intended to be somewhat menacing. But still, not exactly Dr. Horrible in terms of naming.

* Sgt Gross in the ''BlakesSeven'' episode "Moloch" is one of the lesser known villains of the show, but notably nasty. He's a cowardly deserter now (by freak chance) ruling a planet with a sadistic streak who's very, very strongly implied to enjoy raping and cannibalising his female prisoners in equal measure.

* MyImmortal: [[BeyondTheImpossible Ebony]] [[PunctuationShaker Dark'ness]] [[BeyondTheImpossible Dementia Raven Way]]: [[DarkerAndEdgier Darkness]], [[ThroughTheEyesOfMadness insanity]], [[RavensAndCrows corvoids]]...Wait, this may be the [[MostTriumphantExample best name ever]].

Similarly Yami Bakura, who loves [[AndIMustScream trapping people in game-based objects]] (such as, in the manga, storing souls in a pair of dice so they always rolled high) and Yami Marik, who unlike the other two has no ancient Egyptian backstory, he just kills people.

** Likewish for [[spoiler: Butch when he's revealed to have been a half-breed all along. He gets saddled with a vampiric name of legend: The Dehstroyer.]] Also, it's noteworthy Zsadist's name gets the same treatment as V's a lot, shortening it to just "Z." Rhage, too, gets a variation of this, being called "Hollywood" at times (thanks to his ''ridiculously'' good looks).

* Vishous from J.R. Ward's ''BlackDaggerBrotherhood'' novels, mercifully shortened to 'V'. Most of her male characters have bizarrely spelled 'badass' names, including Torhment, Phury, Zsadist, Rehvenge, and Wrath (well, that last one is spelled correctly). Some characters get off luckier with names like John Matthew, Darius, and Blaylock. John Matthew doesn't fare any better with his warrior name: Tehrror.
