* LighterAndSofter: Many fans would say that after Chris Barnes' departure from the band, the lyrics became less sexual and were just straight-up violent by ''Gore Obsessed''.

* SignatureStyle: All of their songwriters from ''Vile'' (when they moved towards an individual contributor rather than collaborative setup) have distinct styles:
** Alex Webster tends to write the most straightforward songs, and is generally the grooviest writer and tends to be particularly fond of technical pedalpoint riffing.
