* ''ComicBook/LegionOfSuperHeroes'' had a #300 in 1983 which was the 25th anniversary, which put to rest the [=AdultLegion=] story and brought back artists (and even logos) from various eras of the Legion. Natural for a comic published every month for 25 years -- except it wasn't. The Legion had moved between comics and ended up getting the numbering of the ''Superboy'' comic, which wasn't monthly throughout its run; the fact that issue #300 was the 25th anniversary was ''pure coincidence''. Also, the 10th anniversary (Superboy #147, 1968) finally revealed the origin of the Legion. The 30th anniversary (volume 3, #45, 1988) brought back the older artists again. The Legion has also done standard anniversary issues according to the cover numbering, meaning that V3 #50 was an anniversary issue with a letter column commenting on another anniversary issue.

** The 45th anniversary in 2022 had a musical theme, because records rotate 45 times a minute. Each regular prog of the year - 45 in all - included a page titled "Brimful of Thrills on the 45", which gave the highlights of one year of the comic book's history. That year's summer special took inspiration from ''Comicbook/{{Nemesis the Warlock}}'''s first appearance and printed a set of stories all inspired by a favourite song of the respective writers. Finally, 2022 saw the publication of ''The 2000AD Encyclopedia'', with entries on every single strip published up to then plus entries on some especially significant individual characters; this was not music-themed but was still part of the celebration.
** 2022 also marked the 30th anniversary of the "Judgement Day" storyline crossing over ''Comicbook/{{Judge Dredd}}'' and ''Comicbook/{{Strontium Dog}}''. This was marked by "Judgement Days", a special {{What If}} event which, like the original, spans both the prog and the meg. In the prog, instead of sending a small strike team to take out Sabbat, the Judges use East-Meg Two's dimension technology to send him to another universe, but the bombs malfunctions and spread {{zombi|e apocalypse}}sm across the entire multiverse; cue a slew of one-off strips showing multiple different series overrun by zombies, plus zombified versions of popular characters attacking Mega-City One. In the meg, Johnny Alpha ran through the Dreddverse, seeking aid from other characters in a desperate attempt to put a stop to the zombie plague once and for all, culminating in [[spoiler:Anderson and Giant launching Mega-City One's entire nuclear arsenal, wiping out all life and unlife on Earth, but sparing the rest of the multiverse]].
