** Square Enix celebrated the release of the 100th chapter by arranging the manga's male main characters and Bifauxnen Kashima into a male idol unit, with fans voting on who the center would be. Mikoshiba won, and a special character coat hanger based off of him was given a limited release. At the same time, the Anime Paradise Cafe in Ikebukuro temporarily added several items based off of the cast to its menu, and a few new pieces of merch were sold.
** For the tenth anniversary, Creator/IzumiTsubaki designed an entire AU based off of DetectiveFiction, featuring the main boys as employees at Nozaki's Detective Agency, the main girls (and Mayu) as four clients who come to them for help, and the editors as police detectives who come to the private eyes for help. The focal point of the project was an ARG hosted on Mikoshiba's official Twitter, in which players voted on actions and solutions to help Nozaki investigate the theft of the Sakura family jewels. Also released was another spate of new merch based off of the AU, and a poll for the manga's best couple (won by Hori x Kashima), with a chance to win exclusive merch by voting.
