** Marceline's name means longevity which means that she has a long life due to her being a Vampire. Probably a coincidence, but "Marceline" is also a [[SignificantAnagram partial anagram]] of Literature/{{Carmilla}}—who would also rearrange her own name into various anagrams every few decades, perhaps to throw off potential {{Vampire Hunter}}s. (The theory suddenly makes a lot more sense ever since Marceline's voice actress confirmed that, in the past, [[LesbianVampire Marceline used to date Princess Bubblegum]].)

* ''WesternAnimation/TotallySpies'' excels at the ridiculous on-the-nose villain names, although it's not clear whether the names are cool (?) aliases or actual names for characters who are destined to be those specific kinds of villains (or a few non-villain characters, too). Notable examples include: Tim Scam, a recurring devious villain; Brain, a villain with a literally huge head; Cyril Hearsay, the founder of a celebrity gossip magazine; Diminutive Smalls, a former WOOHP scientist who's obsessed with the micro and accidentally shrunk himself; Jason Hightower, a kid with daddy issues who recruited other kids with a hypnotic radio tower; Yin-Yang, a Chinese feng shui master; Marco Lumiere, a delusional filmmaker fancying the glamor of cinema; Max Exterminus, a former insect exterminator who turned himself into a human-insect hybrid; Mall Rat, a weirdo with rat-like face and outfit who raids malls; Féline Dion, a woman who wants to turn the whole world into cats; Kim Starsmashian, a celebrity who met her future husband on the moon. As a side note, even the name of the cruise ship in episode "Deja Cruise" is "WOOHPtanic," and you can definitely guess what's gonna happen to it.
