I checked ANN, and the only staff that WP and SM share is the main writer and the character designer.


Okay, it's a bit more than that, but there is a strong sense of FollowTheLeader here (more in the anime than the manga, mainly because a lot of the Sailor Moon anime staff was on the WP anime). That's not necessarily a bad thing. If you want a crash course in MagicalGirlWarrior tropes, this certainly covers as many of them as possible.
