Started in August 2016, ''The Promised Neverland''/''Yakusoku no Neverland'' (約束のネバーランド) is a Magazine/ShonenJump series written by Shirai Kaiu and drawn by Demizu Posuka, mixing an OntologicalMystery with an intellectual battle and a tinge of horror. * BlackDudeDiesFirst: According to the authors, they gave [[spoiler:Sister Krone]] African features (something that's quite rare in manga, where AmbiguouslyBrown is more common) to make her look more distinct, and the only way they found to keep her plot-relevant [[spoiler:was to have her die after leaving hints to help the protagonists.]] Though Demizu Posuka wishes they could find a way to bring her back somehow. [[spoiler:They did, as one of the victims tearing the Queen apart from the inside.]]
